Ynoa's POV
Umirap ako nang mag walk out si Rachna. Agad na sinundan ng chairman ang asawa.
Nang tignan ko si Roemer ay nanatiling magkasalubong ang kilay at madilim ng tingin.
"Mabuti at nakapagpigil ka anak." sambit ng ama ni Roemer.
He clenched his jaw. "Kung hindi ko lang siya rinerespeto, kanina ko pa siya pinaalis." Madiin na sambit niya.
"She's really like that, Ynoa." Dhelia uttered.
"Yes, a total bitch." Mom said, na ikinatawa ng lahat, maliban kay Roemer.
"You were cool." Raf praised me. I chuckled. We continued eating but Roemer did not touched his food.
"You don't like the food?" I asked. Instead, he looked at me intently.
"Are you okay?" He whispered. Nagtataka akong tumingin at tumango.
"I'm sorry you had to hear those words." He whispered huskily. Tila siya pa ang mas apektado kaysa sa akin.
"It's okay, let's eat." I smiled to assure him. But he just watched me, he never touched his food untill we finish the course.
Sabay na din kaming umakyat ni Roemer sa itaas. Napatingin ako sa kanya ng may maalala. "Nagtatampo si Zeijan sa akin." I uttered.
He chukled. "Let's go to his room first. The young boy missed you." natawa ako dahil sa narinig. Like what he loves to do, his hands rested on my back. I can feel his rough hands drawing circles.
"What is my baby doing?" Tanong ko nang makalapit kay Zeijan sa kama. He's reading a book. Parang binata na seryosong nakahilig ang ulo sa headboard.
"Me?" umirap ako nang marinig ang bulong ni Roemer.
"Just reading a book my, I can't sleep." Zeijan said in small voice. His face lit up and looked at me with pleasing eyes.
"My can you sing? Like what you always do?" Huminga ako ng malamim at bahagyang lumapit sa kanya. Humiga naman siya ng maayos at tumingin sa akin. Roemer sat beside him also, not breaking his stare at me. He licked his lips and rested his back on the headboard of the bed.
I stroke Zeijan's long hair and started to sing. I started to brush his long and soft curly hair.
