75. Falling in Love

It fell for days and waited to land
But finally got used to the air,
Hanging in the moment forever and a day,
Love learned on the way, that's all that was there.

And at first it was happy, so joyous, no spat
ever'd tear out heart or hair!
But after a year or maybe an hour,
Love started to wish in despair.

For the falling was nice for a minute or three
But boring and lonely continuously.
People need people, and people need things,
And love is a myth of all falling in place.

And that's what happens, love falls all for you.
It's not at all painful or very hard to,
But boredom is sickness and love sometimes is too.

It falls and it falls, will they see? Is it fair?
As they walk along the surface
Love's fickle, not fair,

and sometimes you'll never even know it is there.

A/n: Hey again. I'm starting a new poetry book; one poem's already in it and I'm adding this one next. I only published it here first to get you guys' attentions and tell you about it. I'll be different but similar to this one. I've come out as transgender and soon will be starting hormones and since I write about my current personal events and thoughts, expect less depression and more curiosity and I'm documenting my transition a bit. Not a lot but probably in some a/n's and the occasional poem. My name is Dustin. I'll sign it like so in the new follow-up book/collection called The Things You'd Never Know. I hope some of you still are out there. I quit wattpad at 16 but now at 18, I'm safe within my mind again and ready to take on the challenge to write again. I need a real cover for the book though, a guy this time, preferably, and possibly similar to the first one in some way. Thank you. I've been rereading comments but I'm too ashamed to reply to the older ones I never looked at while I was gone. I've read them though, and love every damn one and value every one of you. I'll be replying to messages again if you need or want to talk. (:

In addition, this poem is also old, I didn't feel like it was good enough so I never ended up posting before I left. I edited it against my personal beliefs against editing past emotions, apologies. I post it now because I want to show you I mean it this time and am no longer ashamed of my writing. I'm back for real this time.

Sincerely, Dustin the Great
