15. The Time is Now

I talk about my someday

My out of reach "one day"

Where everything will finally

Be relaxed as on a Sunday.

I think about my daydreams

Wonder if they'll stay dreams?

Will someone ever come along

And sew up all the ripped seams?

I laugh about my worries

My fast-forwarded hurries,

Never drizzling like summer rain,

But more like winter flurries.

I smile at the moments past,

Will I ever get them back?

Or will I have to just hold on,

Move on a little bit too fast?

I dream about the sorrow

And living on time borrowed.

How do we know the rest of our lives

aren't any more than tomorrow?

"If you wait until you're ready, you'll be waiting the rest of your lives." Lemony Snicket
