People want someone
Who says its okay;
Who controls them
and tells them
what they should say.
But people aren't puppets
And they shouldn't act
Like they only can move
With the strings out their back.
Use your own voice
You can't borrow mine.
If you just listen,
There may come a time
When you realize your problems
Aren't so bad
And you're being selfish
By saying you're mad
When I say I can't listen
To your complaints anymore;
When I turn and wave sadly
As I walk out the door.
Life gets much better
When you start to look up.
As thoughts get more negative,
Life gets too tough.
Don't ever trust others
More than you trust yourself
Because you know you better
Than anyone else.
