{Evan}

At least she wants to talk to me. That's something. But maybe she just wants to cut off what we have. Maybe she wants to tell me she hates me and wants nothing to do with me. I don't know what to do. Should I even go there? I sigh deeply and run my fingers through my hair.

I can't lose her. I can't lose Allison. She's mine and only mine. What if she runs back to Asher? I can't let that happen.

The thought of Allison and Asher makes me feel sick. I remember when he hit her. Anger starts to run trough my veins and before I realize it, a glass is shattered in a thousand pieces. I can't let Asher come near Allison, ever again.

I need to protect Allison at all costs. I need to make sure she doesn't run away from me. Otherwise, she might let her parents get into her head and she goes back to Asher.

I will do everything for her. She needs to realize how much I love her.

It's almost twelve now, so Evan can be here at any moment. I'm a little nervous. I don't know how our conversation will go.

When I hear a knock on the door I take a deep breath before I get up and open it. I'm surprised to see Asher standing in front of me, instead of Evan.

'Asher?' I ask confused. 'What are you doing here?'

'I need to talk to you,' Asher says. 'Can I come in?'

'Well, I-' Before I can finish my sentence Asher walks into my dorm. I guess Evan will have to wait for a few minutes.

'Is something wrong?' I ask Asher when he sits down on my bed.

'All, I know I've made some mistakes in the past,' Asher mumbles. 'But I'm not the same anymore. I've started seeing a therapist and she's really helping me.'

'That's good,' I say, sitting down next to him.

'I know we probably won't have a future together,' Asher says. 'But I need to warn you.'

'About what?' I ask him.

'Evan.' I give him a confused look. What is he talking about? Does he know about Evans mother?

'Why?'

'All, he isn't the nice guy you think he is,' Asher tells me. 'I've never trusted him, so I did some digging.'

'Asher-' I start, but he interrupts me.

'Let me finish,' he says. 'Evan has a reputation. He always had trouble with other people. He once beat someone up so badly, he ended up in a coma. Allison, that guy can't even walk properly anymore. You can't trust Evan. He has some serious issues. Please be safe.'

'What the fuck?' I look up and see Evan standing in the doorway. He doesn't look very happy, which I understand. But he should know I don't want anything to do with Asher anymore.

'What is this bullshit?' Evan hisses.

'Evan, it's not what it looks like.' I try to calm him down, but I only seem to make things worse.

'Oh, so Asher is not fucking hitting on you?!' Evan yells.

'Allison, I told you he has issues,' Asher says, completely ignoring Evan.

'You're the only one with issues here!' Evan screams at Asher. 'Get the hell away from Allison!' I get up and walk towards Evan. I'm not planning on making this situation worse than it already is.

'Asher, you should leave,' I say to him. I don't know what Evan will do, but I know he's not afraid to beat Asher up. Asher gets up and starts walking towards the door, but Evan stops him.

'He's not going anywhere!' He growls. 'He needs to learn to stay the fuck away from you.' I try to grab Evans arm, but I'm too late. Evan already pushes Asher against the wall. I can see the anger forming in Ashers eyes. The two boys are staring angrily at each other, their chest rising and falling quickly.

'You're a fucking psychopath!' Asher yells and with that, he's on the ground within seconds, Evan hovering above him. His fist hits Ashers jaw multiple times before Asher manages to push Evan off of him. I'm surprised to see that Asher is taking the lead now. He hits Evan, again and again, until Evan is on the ground.

'Asher, please don't!' I beg him when he wants to kick Evan. Asher could easily knock him out with a simple kick on his head.

'Use your head,' is all that Asher says to me before he walks out of my dorm and slams the door shut behind him. I let my breath out before I make my way towards Evan.

'Are you okay?' I ask him while I kneel next to his body. His back is faced towards me, so I can't see his face.

'Evan?' I ask softly when he doesn't answer. I carefully turn him around. His face is covered in blood and his eye is thick and has a dark circle around it.

'I'm so sorry,' I whisper. 'I shouldn't have let this happen.' Evan sits up and looks at me. I can't help but feel the butterflies wake up in my stomach.

'I'll get something to clean your face,' I say and I want to get up, but Evan grabs my hand, holding me back.

'Allison,' he mumbles. 'I love you.' As soon as those words leave his lips, my cheeks turn red and my whole body heathens up.

'I love you too,' I manage to whisper. Evan smiles and lets his lips touch mine for a brief second, before he backs away and gives me a painful look.

'I'm sorry about the fight,' Evan says. 'I just lost it when I saw you two together.'

'It's okay,' I assure him. 'Besides, Asher won this time, so you are quite.' I smile jokingly and Evan gives me a mad look.

'Let's clean up your face,' I say to him while I get up. Evan follows my lead and walks towards the bathroom.

I wet a cloth and let Evan sit down on the toilet.

Carefully I sit down on his lap and gently brush away the blood stains on his face.

'You need to stop getting into fights,' I mumble. 'They ruin your pretty face.'

'I'm sorry,' Evan murmurs as he let his forehead rest against mine. 'We still need to talk.'

'I know,' I say, letting my fingers run through his dark hair. I get off his lap and walk back towards my bedroom where I sit down on my bed. Evan follows quickly after. He bites his lip as he sits down next to me. He looks nervous, which I understand. I just told him I love him, but I still have some questions for him.
