{Allison}

A whole day has passed and I haven't heard a single thing from Evan. He hasn't explained to me why he had to leave. What if I did something wrong? What if he freaked out and doesn't want to be with me anymore?

My thoughts are interrupted when a loud knock hits the door, followed by a loud voice.

'Allison, open the door!' It's my mother. 'We need to talk to you!' She sounds angry. What are they doing here? I get out of bed and slowly open the door. My parents waste no time and barge into the room.

'What are you doing, Allison Hill?' my mother asks. 'Why do we get a call from Asher, telling us some guy beat him up?'

'How is that my fault?' I ask them. 'I didn't do anything!'

'Asher says you've already moved on to someone new,' my father says. 'How could you?' I shake my and laugh in disbelieve.

'How could I?' I laugh sarcastically. 'How could Asher call you, pretending he's the victim here? How could he still have your trust after being abusive towards me? How could he hit me every time I did something wrong?!'

'What?' My parents mouths drop open.

'You don't know anything because you wouldn't care to listen!' I yell, feeling the tears in my eyes. 'I'm done keeping my mouth shut. I'm done with you sticking up for him. I can't believe you chose his side, without even hearing me out! I'm your daughter!'

'Honey, we-' My mother wants to put her hand on my shoulder, but I slap her hand away.

'Don't touch me,' I say. 'You can't just come here and expect everything to be fine with just a touch.'

'Allison, we didn't know Asher did those things to you,' my father says. 'We've known him since he was a little kid.'

'Maybe you should've listened to me,' I mumble. I'm done being angry, but I won't forgive them that easily.

'I know,' my mother says. 'But Allison, you shouldn't have cheated on him with that guy. You should've talked to us. Asher just needs some therapy and then-'

'Then what?' I laugh, feeling the tears run down my cheeks. 'Everything will be fine and we can get back together?'

'Maybe, yeah,' my mother says.

'You really don't see it, don't you?' I shake my head. 'I don't love Asher! He never cared for me like a boyfriend should. He never showed me any affection. I won't give him another chance. I don't love him.'

'After everything we've done for you,' my mother hisses. 'Why do you have to be so ungrateful?' Is this really happening?

'Allison, I-' The voice stops and I look up, seeing Evan standing in the doorway, a confused and shocked look on his face.

'Let me guess, that's the guy you cheated with,' my mother says. 'Of course you just had to pick someone like him.'

'What's that supposed to mean?' I ask her. Evan is still standing there, unsure what to do or to say. I feel sorry for him. He shouldn't have to be a part of this mess.

'Look at him!' My mother shouts. 'He's covered in those filthy pictures! And his clothes are coming straight from the garbage! He's disgusting!' The anger rages through my body.

'Where did you get the audacity to come to my dorm, expecting me to get back together with Asher, even after you know he's abusive and above all that, how dare you to speak about him like that?' I'm yelling now but I don't care. 'He's been nothing but supportive and kind to me! He hasn't laid a single finger on me without my permission. I can't believe you!'

'I... I'll come back another time,' Evan stammers.

'No, stay,' I say to him. 'My parents were just leaving.' I give them an angry look and grab Evans hand, pulling him into the room.

'I really hope this behavior is just a phase,' my mother hisses. 'We both know you belong with Asher, not with this... clown!' I decide not to respond to her words and wait until both my parents have left the room. I slam the door shut behind them and sigh deeply.

'I'm so sorry for my parents,' I mumble.

'It's fine,' Evan says. I don't want to get mad at Evan as well, but I need to know why he hasn't spoken to me since he left yesterday.

'What have you been up to?' I ask him. 'You didn't let me know anything since you left yesterday.'

'I just had stuff to do,' he mumbles. I raise my eyebrow in disbelieve.

'Really?' I ask. 'Like what?'

'Do you need to know everything?' he sneers. He sighs and sits down on my bed.

'I'm sorry,' he says. 'I just... I don't know what's wrong with me.'

'Did you freak out because of the picture of Asher and me?' I sit down next to him. He shrugs his shoulders and looks at the ground.

'Maybe,' he admits. 'I'm just not sure if you can move on that quickly from Asher. I know you're done with him, but you've known him for so long and I... I don't know if I'm good enough for you.'

'Evan, I really like you,' I say to him. 'Like, I'm falling in love with you and it freaks me out because I haven't felt like this before and I don't know what to do. But when you left yesterday I thought you were done with me. And it hurt me.'

'I'm sorry,' he whispers. 'I shouldn't have left.' He takes my hand in his and looks me in my eyes. He smiles softly and brushes a strand of my hair out of my face.

'I'm falling in love with you too,' he tells me. I smile and press my lips against his. It's too soon to be in a relationship, but I'm glad he feels the same about me.

Our kiss is short and when I back away Evan smiles and backs away too.

'I didn't even ask you why you came here in the first place,' I say to him.

'I just wanted to see you,' Evan explains.

'Oh, I forgot to tell you, I ran into Yasmin yesterday,' I tell him. 'She was quite rude to me.'

'Why? What did she say?' Evan asks surprised.

'She basically made fun of me for cheating on Asher and she said that I'm just a toy to you'

'Well, you happen to be my favorite toy,' Evan teases me. I roll my eyes but can't hide a laugh.

'You still owe me breakfast,' I say then. Evan nods and kisses my cheek.

'We'll go out for breakfast tomorrow morning.'

(So, what do you think of Allisons parents? I'm curious)
