Saiki sighed as he sat quietly on his bed  Inside this dreadful room of his. It seemed that he had miscounted the ninjas and there was actually six, the sixth one had knocked him out from behind. He was sure that if he was older he would have sensed the sixth one, he wasn't as persistent and cautious as he was in his teenage years.

The nine year old groaned."This sucks."he complained. He heard the door click open and in walked the Hokage."So how was your sadly shortened taste of freedom?."The hokage went straight to the point, ignoring the annoyed aura the younger individual was emitting.

Saiki quietly judged the older man.

With his crossed arms, he turned his head away from the Sarutobi ,"Oh so you're giving me the silent treatment?I see. I guess I can save these sweets for later." The hokage purposely stated. Saiki quickly turned towards him.

His eyes landing on the the Hokage's left hand. Seeing the different varieties of sweets on the slightly scratched white plate, Saiki's mouth couldn't help but water.

He blankly stared at the sweets before responding.

"It was good...the taste of freedom was goodm"Saiki mumbled. The Hokage hummed with a slight nod before handing Saiki the plate of sweets. Saiki happily took them placing them next to the wooden table next to him.

"So how did you escape?It's quite interesting that a nine year old managed to slip past well trained Shinobi."The Hokage stated.

"Your ninjas are wack, they're stupid to be falling asleep on the job."Saiki responded, popping a sweet into his mouth and savoring the sweet and salty taste. The Hokage chuckled at the boys statement."So what do you think their punishment should be?."The Hokage questioned.

"Why the hell are you asking me??"

"I'm just curious to see how cruel you're willing to be towards them."Saiki frowned,"I'm not cruel, i just want to get out of here."Saiki mumbled quietly. The Hokage sighed once again,"Fine I'll let you go, on one condition."The Hokage was feeling quite sorry for the younger.

He suddenly felt like he was in the wrong for keeping him hostage.

Saiki looked at the old man with a questioning gaze."What condition?"

"You're are going to be adopted by a family of your choice." Saiki immediately groaned. "Nope I decline,i prefer to be alone."The Hokage sighed. "Fine then what do you want to do?,I know kids your age tend to be sturrborn."Saiki frowned at his statement.

"I'm seventeen for God's sake. Please ignore my physical appearance."

"Ok fine I'll ignore it." Saiki hated how patient the old man was with him. It pissed him off he nice he was, it almost made him want to stay."I want to leave this dimension and go back to mine."Saiki hopefully states. He suddenly remembered the ten-tailed beast.

He let out a dissapointed sighed.

"I expected that, well you see we Shinobi are not capable of going into a different dimensions as you call it, which means you're basically stuck here unless you remember how you got here in the first place."Saiki went deep into thought after the last sentence,he brought his hand to his chin.

How did he get here?

He remembered a portal, but what caused it?He remembered a multi-colored void but why was he in there?Why were they so many gaps in his memories. He remembered earth, but who were his parents?Did he have siblings? He remembered his school,but who were his classmates?

He remembered his name, his age and his powers, but what was his purpose?

He was clueless.

"I-i don't remember"Saiki stuttered as he began to panic. He out he held his hair and wanted to scream. Now he was just full on scared and lost."Are you okay Kusuo?."Saiki felt the hot liquid drip down from his eyes."I wanna go home.."He mutters quietly,his voice just barely above a whisper.

But he was heard.

Saiki slowly his his head in between his knees, sobbing continuously, the Hokage pushed back his chair standing up and slowly and camly walked towards the window, he stared at the crying child before staring out the window ,"Sometimes we are tested not to show our weaknesses but to discover our strengths,we Shinobi are the protectors of our world. There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you, as you grow it will continue to eat you up, so the best time for new beginnings is now, just know that difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations."The old man stated, his wise words hitting the young boy like a truck.

"Yesterday is the past tomorrow is the future, but today is a gift that is why it is called the present, don't let yesterday take up to much off today, it will only continue to glue you to the past. It takes nothing to join a crowd but it takes everything to stand alone. You're a bright one, don't let despair bring you down."The hokage slowly patted the boys shoulder,waiting patiently for him to raise his head.

Saiki had no response to his wise words.

"Can i have my glasses back?"The Hokage chuckled in response. The boys cheeks were dusted with tints of pink,"Of course."The Hokage grinned before slowly opening the drawer located opposite of the youngers bed. He handed him the lime green glasses.

Saiki slowly cleaned it with his shirt, before putting it on. He felt like found a piece of himself again with just this one item.

"I must go now. As the Hokage, i cannot not just sit around doing nothing all day. If you wish to see me you can ask one of the Shinobi to escort you to my office."He stood at the door before waving and exiting.

Saiki frowned, he fiddled with his thumbs, before jumping out of his bed and sitting near the window. He liked to watch the outside world, you never know what you'll see, A boy who fell from the sky, the massacre of a powerful clan or a bubbly blonde haired boy?

Saiki squinted his eyes, he saw the boy jumping around, the boy suddenly stopped , he picked up a rock and tried to balance it on his nose.

Saiki giggled as he saw the rock fall on top of the boys foot, making him jump in agony. Saiki's breath hitched as he saw ocean blue eyes stare straight into his magenta.

It looked like the blonde boy was glaring at him for a second. He must have saw him laughing. The blonde boy looked around momentarily, clueless,  before waving to Saiki like his life depended on it, Saiki waved back with a small smile.

"Naruto seemed to have an interest in you."The Hokage interuppted Saiki who was reading a book all about Shinobi,"What's a Naruto?."Saiki asked with a confused expression.

"He's a blonde headed little boy." Saiki made and 'O' expression remembering the blonde haired he saw a few weeks ago,"I remember him. I saw him outside the window. He doesn't really come by anymore though, how is he?"Saiki questions.

"Oh he's fine causing trouble for the villagers as usual, he's quite something did you know he painted all the stores with silly faces and different sorts of things?You would not believe how many complaints I've received."The hokage chuckled. Saiki couldn't help but chuckle along.

"He's been busy with school that's why he doesn't come around at these times you know. He thrives to be Hokage, what a passion."The Hokage complimented and Saiki awed,"You know I really think your should attend the academy, I promise you don't have to get adopted, I could provide you a small apartment and you could live alone, just like little Naruto does."the Hokage suggests.

"He lives alone?"

"Yes due to some events his parents passed away and he's is now an orphan, You see the Shinobi world is quite dangerous. That is why we train to become powerful, so we can protect the villagers and ourselves."The Hokage exclaimed, with outmost assurance.

"Fine I'll take the apartment"

"And?...."

"And go to the academy."Saiki defeatedly sighed. "Great, I expect great things from you young one,but before you can enter the academy we must unlock your chakra points."The Hokage instructed.

"What's a Chakra?"
