"No, I meant in a lovely and pure way" I groaned and put away the banana I was showing her on FaceTime. I said it looked really tasty and that I wanted to eat it whole and she'd taken it the wrong way and had been laughing at me for the past three minutes "stop laughing, you're scaring me"

"No, you're hilarious" she cackled and I groaned

"You have a dirty mind" I scolded her

"I'm sorry" she smiled and ran her fingers through her dark hair

"I saw you at school today" I said

"Well, that's where I was"

"You were with a girl" I said suspiciously

"Come on, aren't I allowed to be friends with girls anymore? Besides, we're basically related, it's not weird"

"How are you related?"

"Related by marriage. She's Gigi, Bella's big sister" she said

"Matty used to have a crush on her" I said and washed some grapes. My mom came into the kitchen and looked at my phone which had Kendall on it

"Hey Miss Healy!" She waved with a large grin

"Hello Kendall. How are you?"

"I'm great. And yourself?"

"I was just watering some of my plants, I didn't think it would be so dry this time of year but they needed a lot of water, my water barrel is bone dry now" she explained and I frowned at Kendall for pretending to be interested

"You do your own gardening? I thought that a professional gardener came by every day when I looked at it" she said

"You make me laugh Kendall, don't stop being quirky" my mom said and I rolled my eyes

"Bye mom"

"No, I'm making myself some dinner that isn't... grapes" she said, looking at the small bowl of grapes I'd made for myself

"I quite like bananas" Kendall piped up and I gave her the middle finger, making her laugh explosively

"What is wrong with you Sofia, she just told you what kind of fruit she likes. I'm very sorry that you are friends with my daughter" my mom said down the phone

"It's ok, I brought it on myself" Kendall nodded and I picked up my phone and carried it with my grapes upstairs

"Stop being weird with my mom" I laughed and sat on my bed

"She's hot" she stuck her tongue out and licked the air and I cringed

"You're disgusting"

"And you're my way into your mom's pants" she winked

"Shut the fuck up" I squealed and she put her hood up. She always looked so adorable when we were on FaceTime and I knew she always took time out of her day and most of her free time to speak to me for hours upon hours, and it still never got boring for me at least. I just appreciated everything about her.

"Soph" she drawled

"Yeah?"

"Would you be cool with it if I went away for a few days? I have to go to work" she said

"Sure, that's fine. Don't even ask me, your work is important to you so it's important to me too" I smiled

"You're the best" she said

"I'll miss you though" I pouted

"No, don't be sad. I'll text you all the time" she said

"You don't have to. I don't wanna be one of those girlfriends"

"You're not, you're my girlfriend and I think you're the cutest and most perfect thing in the world" she said and I blushed

"Me too"

At about 11, I was in bed and so was she, and we were just telling each other how much we appreciated each other "I just wanna cuddle you and kiss you all the time, I don't care if it's in school or anything" I murmured

"Me too, I wanna be with you all the time baby" she said

"Yeah" I yawned and closed my eyes

"Soph" she said and I opened my eyes again to look at her . She was biting her lip and she was blushing. She was nervous, and that was something I'd never seen before.

"Mhm?"

"I love you"

"I love you too" I said

"You don't have to-"

"But I do" I whined "I love you Kenny"

"I love you too Soph" she smiled

"I just didn't wanna say in case it was the wrong time" I said

"Me too, but it is and I do love you. You mean so much to me" she said

"I love you so much. If I find out that you're high or something and you don't remember this conversation, I'm going to cry"

"I'm 100% sober baby" she said

"Me too" I sighed with a little smile and closed my eyes "goodnight, I love you"

"Goodnight baby" she said and before long I could hear her soft snores coming through the speakers on my phone. I loved her so much, so much more than I could ever tell her.
