Richie's Pov:
"Hey hot stuff." I walk up to Eds and tug on the straps of my backpack.
"Hey Richie. What's up?"
Alright.. Richie you can do this.
You don't have to ask him out, just ask him to skip lunch with you.
Everything will be fine.
BREATH.
You're okay!
"I was wondering if you wanted to skip lunch so we can go somewhere...." I hesitate.
"Are you asking me out Tozier?" He smirks.
"..no. Why would I do that?" I scoff.
Eddie turns back to his locker and sighs.
"I was kidding." He says.
"Oh... okay.." I murmur.
"Anyways., where would you wanna go?"
"Huh?" My eyes widen.
"For the 'date'?" Eddie squints at me.
"Right, um. I was thinking the bridge." I say.
"Sure. Lunch is in 2 minutes so let's go." Eddie smiles.

"No offense, but why couldn't we just go to the park, or the barons?" Eddie complains.
"Because the bridge is nice and quiet..." I say.
"You can leave if you want."
"No, I don't want to leave. I was just asking."
Ugh.
Why is it so fucking awkward between us?
I'm barely speaking.
I don't even feel like myself.
Since when do I mumble, whisper, and say "um" in all of my sentences?
"Okay good." I smile.

We both sit down facing eachother. After a little, it wasn't that awkward because someone Eddie got my mind off of what I was originally going to do.
"Haha. Today Henry slipped in the hallway because someone spilt water a few periods before, and the entire gang tumbled on top of him." Eddie lets out a small laugh, causing my heart to beat faster and uncontrollably.
"Are you okay Richie? You seem a little pale. Plus you never laughed at my joke." He pouted.
"Your joke sucked." I smile.
"It was hilarious!" Eddie scoffs.
I playfully roll my eyes and ruffle up his hair.
"Richie! Fuck offf. You messed up my hair."
"Baby it was already messy." I boop his nose with my finger.
"When was the last time you washed your hands?" He asks me.
He grabs my finger out if his face and hold it there for a second.
"This morning after I fucked your mom."
"Gross!" He threw my finger out of his hands and got out his mini hand sanitizer.
"Dude, there's germs everywhere. There's even germs on the hand sanitizer bottle." I explain.
