“An apology is the super glue of life. It can repair just about anything.”

The whole band had gathered that afternoon. They stood around Matt’s hospital bed, all silent, not knowing what to say.

Finally, Johnny spoke up. “I guess you’re not going to wake up in time for the tour.”

“It’s alright, though.” Arin covered quickly. “Larry’ll postpone it as far back as we need. We won't go on without you… will we, guys?”

They all shook their heads, murmuring in agreement. “I wish we could go, though…” Brian said quietly. “Maybe you could speed up the waking process a little bit?” he joked halfheartedly. No one laughed.

“You just take your time, man.” Zacky patted Matt’s shoulder reassuringly. “There’s no rush.”

As they all filed out of the room, Brian stayed behind. He turned to look at the man, totally unaware of his surroundings. “You know, I wanted to go on tour.” He sighed, “For a while, I wanted to go without you. Now, I’ve realized that that was a shitty, selfish idea. I’d never ever want to tour without you, Matt, and I’m sorry I ever suggested that.”
