Chapter 2: Tryouts

At lunch, Sara found Rose and the both of them sat down next to each other outside the courtyard of the school eating their lunch

Just then, they heard music playing and, both girls turn their attention to who was playing the music. But it was only the glee club trying to get new members to join them this year to go to New York since that's what the tee shirt says on them.

Artie:
Yeah! I'm out that Brooklyn, now I'm down in Tribeca
Right next to Deniro, but I'll be hood forever
I'm the new Sinatra, and since I made it here
I can make it anywhere, yeah they love me everywhere

Finn:
I used to cop in Harlem, all of my Dominicano's
Right there up on Broadway, pull me back to that McDonald's
Took it to my stash box, 560 State Street
Catch me in the kitchen like a Simmons with them pastries

Puck:
Cruisin' down 8th Street, off-white Lexus
Drivin' so slow, but BK is from Texas
I, I'm out that Bed-Stuy, home of that boy Biggie
Now I live on billboard and I brought my boys with me
Say what up to Ty-Ty, still sippin' may Tai's
Sittin' courtside, Knicks & Nets give me high five
Nigga, I am Spike'd out, I could trip a referee
Tell by my attitude that I'm most definitely from

The girls were the only cheering for their brothers and the boys pointed to them out in the crowd when they saw them.

After the performance nobody knowledge them or clapped for them. Sara and Rose looked at each other confused, then smirked at each other, and they were the only one that rooted and cheered for them while everyone else didn't and the glee club just smiled at those two for their support.

Rose: so are you still thinking about trying out for glee club
Sara: of course and so should you, you have a great voice
Rose: I'm just not joining stupid glee club anyways
Sara: why not?
Rose: I'm just not Sara. OK let it go!
Sara: but we can go to New York. I thought that you always wanted to see the world
Rose: I do, but I'm sorry, I just can't...

Rose said slamming her locker, starling Sara before storming off, but got bump into someone on her way out.

Rose: ow, sorry my fault wasn't looking where I was going
???: it's okay

They helped each other picked up their stuff. The mystery person handed her the last item and when she did she felt sparks go through her, she looks up at the person, the person look back at her, and they stared at each other for a while.

???: *smiles* I'm Sam
Rose: *smiles back* I'm Rose
Sam: that's a pretty name
Rose: *blush* thanks
Sam: so where's a pretty girl like you off too?
Rose: uh... What was I up too, oh right I was on my way to cheerio tryouts
Sam: cool I'm trying out for the football team
Rose: is this your first year here?
Sam: yeah exactly I'm a transfer, so I'm new to Lima, I'm a sophomore here
Rose: I'm a freshman
Sam: cool so this is your first year here then
Rose: yep but I know the school already because I have 2 older brothers that go here, that are juniors here at this school
Sam: that's cool hopefully I'll be able to see you around
Rose: yeah see ya
