At the Hudson-Hummel place.
Rose: (comes downstairs dragging her bags with her) oh boyssssssss I'm ready to goooooo
Finn/Kurt: (comes from the kitchen)
Finn: is that your last bag
Rose: yep
Finn: good I'll go put it in the car while you go park your little but on the couch cause we need to talk about our deal while we are in New York
Rose: oh great not a lecture, I already know all the rules guys
Kurt: do you know that we are going to be a lot harder on you when we are in New York
Rose: um... Didn't know that part
Kurt: good cause we will be a lot harder on you
Finn: with your behavior lately, gonna take us a while before we can trust you again
Rose: but you guys just ungrounded me last week, and I haven't got into any trouble since then
Kurt: oh really
Rose: well um... Those other times didn't count
Finn: sit I'll be back (grabs her bag and heads out to Kurt's car)
Rose: (sighs and sits down next to Kurt) why are you and Finn treating me like I'm a baby?
Kurt: we don't
Rose: yeah you do. I'm 14 now almost 15 and you two been treating me like Im a toddler
Kurt: want to know why? Because you do this to yourself that's why. You bring yourself into these sticky situation alone and don't ask for help
Rose: I promise I'll call for help when I'm in trouble
Kurt: you promise me that you will be a perfect lady on this trip
Rose: yes sir, I'll be your perfect little princess
Kurt: I know you're not perfect but you can try to be at least

Rose nods and Finn said to them coming in.

Finn: alright everything set for New York
Rose: Yayyyyy!!!! New York here we come!!!!! (Runs out the door)
Finn: are you sure you gone all of the rules with her?
Kurt: that's for you to tell on her on the car ride trip let's go (puts sun glasses on and leaves)

Finn rolls his eyes and close the door with his keys and headed to the car and they all drove to the airport.

As a montage of striking images of New York City wash over her to the strains of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, Rachel stands at the center of Times Square and takes it all in: "I made it!"

New Directions are thrilled to have made it to the top of the show choir heap and are eager to explore the city, though Finn reminds them that they still have two original songs to write.

Rose: (gets up from bed) oh come on Finn everybody right, we're in New York. The city that never sleeps
Finn: (cross arm gives her look)
Rose: I mean uh, I should stop talking right now before I get myself in more trouble (sits back that in her seat)
Finn: uh huh (takes bite out of his sandwich)
Kurt: she's right though Finn, quit being Mr. Bossy Pants and let's explore the magical city I love to call New Yorkkkkkk
Finn: (smiles) I think I got an idea that can help our writers block, come on

They all grab their coats and stuff and
headed out into the big city.

[Finn:]
I don't like cities
But I like New York

[Rose:]
The famous places to visit are so many

[Finn:]
Other places make me feel like a dork

[Rose:]
I told my grandpa I wouldn't miss on any

[Artie:]
Los Angeles is for people who sleep

[Mercedes:]
Got to see the whole town
Right from Yonkers on down to the Bay

[Artie:]
Paris and London

[Rose:]

[Rachel and New Directions:]
