I had my head buried in Daryl's back as we drove. I couldn't get the image of Beth at the old house out of my mind. Was I just seeing things? I had to right? Maybe I'm just going crazy. Hell who isn't going crazy in this world now? All the sane people are dead. The lunatics run this world now. I shook my head and just drowned out every thought while listening to the rumble of Daryl's bike below us. We had been driving for a good 2 hours and it was safe to say that my butt was getting numb. I didn't complain though because I knew daryl would make me get in one of the cars with the others. Sure I didn't mind being with the others, but this is where I wanted to be. I felt safer here even though we were probably on the most unsafe vehicle. I laughed at that though and squeezed tighter to my redneck. Suddenly a large noise was heard over the bikes motor. I jolted my head from Daryl's back and my eyes widened as a helicopter flew over us. My heart was pounding wildly as I starred at it with wide eyes. An actual working helicopter is something I thought I would never see again. I watched as it disappeared into the sky and yelled over Daryl's shoulder,

"did you see that!"

"yea! We're close" he yelled back.

i squeezed him tighter with a huge smile on my face. I don't know why, but that helicopter gave me a new form of hope. Within 15 minutes all our vehicles came to a stop in front of a huge gate. You couldn't see anything behind it, but it went on for miles. I was mesmerized by the giant structure. Rick opened his car door and stepped out, gaping at he giant wall. Suddenly a mans voice came over a speaker,

"state your names"

it startled me a bit as I jumped back. Daryl immediately put a soothing hand on mine.

"my name is Rick grimes" Rick yelled at the gate and then turned looking at all of our cars,"and this is my family"

i smiled led again as my heart warmed at his statement.

"any of you bit?" The voice asked.

"no" Rick said.

we waited a few minutes for the voice to speak again. When it didn't, worry flew over us. Even Rick as he looked to me and daryl questioningly. We jumped as the voice finally spoke,

"you leave your vehicles where they are and they will be returned to you."

rick hesitantly nodded and and then turned back to all of us. He nodded sat all of us as the group started getting out of their cars. I slung my leg off of Daryl's bike as he set it on the kickstand. He was hesitant to get off because het bike belonged to Merle. I smirked and held my hand out for him to grab. He sighed and took my hand swinging his leg off the bike and his crossbow behind his back. We heard little feet running to us and turned seeing the twins. I picked up Connor and he picked up Elaina as we came up beside Rick. The rest of the group behind him. We waited and then the huge gate started to open. It honestly reminded me of the CDC. Opening all the way revealed what looked like a community. Like an old town and neighborhood. People were walking around, laughing. There was not one ounce of fear in any of their eyes. I looked up to daryl questioningly and in return he grabbed onto my hand with his free one. All of us starred in astonishment until a voice brought us back.

"if you all would please follow me"

turning we see a few soldiers standing at attention with the one who spoke to us in front. He was a muscular man with fire red hair. He had on army pants and a gray muscle shirt as he walked in front of us. We followed hearing the sound of the gates closing behind us. We were lead into a building which had a lot more soldiers in it, until we were lead into a room and the door was shut. It looked like an old meeting room. The red haired man approached a table and took out a book as wee starred. The man set the book on the table and then looked up at us,
