*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BE-* Hawks punched the alarm clock, causing it to tumble to the ground. It was 5 am. "Morning to you too." Hawks grumbled. He looked up at the bedside table, making sure the photo of him and his friend hadn't fallen over as well. He smiled at it, remembering his childhood, when he and his friend Touya would run around all day and laugh and play until it was too dark to see. He remembered the day Touya suddenly disappeared. It wasn't in the news, it's like he was erased from existence. Hawks missed him dearly and had spent years looking for Touya, but had no luck. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a sudden bout of coughing that shook his body violently. He shut his eyes as pain raked through his chest and throat. He opened his eyes after the pain subsided and saw crimson liquid spattered across some of the blue petals. Blood. Hawks looked at it for a moment, emotion failing him. He got up after a second, went to the kitchen, and brought back a towel to clean it up. Afterwards, he got dressed and left for work.
