Halls of The Ages

The Huntsman!

In the land of what is now known as prominence, before the birth of the great families and kingdom, their existed many settlements that dotted the land. One in particular, "Autumn" or "where the leaves rise and fall," holds a count of thirty-one people and is seen as a prosperous place. Autumn is a very unique settlement: many of the trees around the area, go through a constant life and death cycle, with many of the leaves turning colors and then soaring to the ground as if The sky rains with colorful leaves.

And in this village lies our main character, a young man with long black hair and piercing blue eyes. Hurrying home after pranking members of the village, his mother, a beauty among the villages women. She would council her son about staying out of trouble and treating others with kindness and respect. "Little Fang," a nickname she would give and call him, would be sent by his mother to the nearby Ancient Forest to collect forest berries for tonight's dinner.

Upon entering the wonderous forest, many a wonderous animals co-existed with one another. From deer and elk to dragonfly and fox. Birds soar from tree to tree chirping along side the squirrels traveling in and out of the great oaks. Nearby an ancient shrine and structure, a lush bush of red, green, and blue berries and on a nearby branch, what appeared for a second was a young beautiful woman in a white and green silk dress. As soon as Little Fang laid eyes on her, his mother would call out to him to return home.

The next day Little Fang continued his usual games of pulling pranks upon the fellow villagers. Lifting the dresses of the females, throwing rocks in the nearby lake to disrupt the fishermen, and spoking and harming the domesticated farm animals. Soon the village Elder would come to Little Fang and his mothers home along with several other villagers. The elder informed Faolan that he would be sent into exile in the Ancient Forest and banished from the Village of Autumn.

His mother would be unable to persuade the elder and simply hugged and kissed her son one final time before he traversed into the Forest, the Elder would grant Faolan the Necklace of Autumn and Dagger of The Hunt, two ancient artifacts of the founder of the settlement. And with that, Little Fang would depart the village and into the Ancient Forest.

Within the forest, Little fang would truly know a state of solitude and fear, for he was left to fend for himself in a vast, untamed, and enchanted world. During the day he would attempt to hunt for rabbits or birds, fish for salmon or tuna, and at night he would curl under oak trees for shelter. The sound of wildlife would have him cry out for his mother, but she could no longer protect him. Time would pass by, as he grew off the forest, having crafted a bow and arrows and adopted an attire of fur and leaves. Approaching a marsh,while exploring the depths of the forest would reveal a Murk-Wyrm that emerged from the swamp-waters and proceeded to attack him.

The creature would succeeded in pinning Little-fang down and attempting to devour Faolan. But he had grown to be a survivalist and took one of the make-shift arrows he crafted and jabbed it in one of the beasts eyes, granting him the chance to escape the jaws of the beast. Little fang would continue his travels throughout the forest, until he spotted the girl from before once more Her appearance intrigued the young man, as she saw Faolan and smiled.

Little Fang would follow her further and further into the vibrant forest, until he found her on a branch communing with nature. He would ask for her name, but she would simply look at him and giggle. Several years would pass and the story of Little Fang or The Huntsman is still told to this day. Many a travelers who would pass by the Ancient Forest would see a young man guarding the entrance to the forest alongside a pack of wolves.
