16 year old Avery O' Connell has been through some hard times since the death of her mother two years ago. Her father found it hard to cope so he moved away for work leaving Avery to look after herself with the help of her downstairs neighbour who checks up on her regularly.
Avery is quite independent, mature and shy for her age. After spending years admiring a certain someone, he helps her break out of her shell and assists her on her journey to find love.
