Y/n's pov
Today mommy was taking me to the circus. I run into her room and start jumping up and down on her bed.
"Mommy wake up we're going to the circus today!" I say and hear her groan slightly and grab my feet causing me to fall down on her bed.
"Y/n the circus doesn't start for another few hours" she says and I frown.
"A few hours that will take forever mommy" I whine and she sighs.
"Look why don't we go to aunty Julie's house for a while to pass some time" she says and I cheer.
"Yay I love aunty Julie and uncle Zach" I cheer and run out of her room going to get changed myself. I brush my teeth and run down the stairs to see mama cooking pancakes. She gives me a plate and I thank her. We eat together and once she finishes she goes to get ready then comes back down the stairs.
"Y/n are you ready to go? Aunt Julie says we're all good to come over" she smiles and I nod. We drive to aunty Julie's house and I run up to the door once we get there, uncle Zach opens the door and picks me up spinning me around.
"Uncle Zach!" I laugh and he puts me down I see aunty Julie and I smile running up to her giving her a big hug.
"Hi aunty Julie"
"Hey kiddo, you've grown a little since I last saw you" she smiles and messes up my hair. I turn to uncle Zach and he already knows what I'm going to ask.
"Sure kiddo the football is outside let's go play around for a bit" he says and we go into the back yard. We play for a while until mama says it's time to go to the circus. I hug everyone goodbye and we drive to the circus. I get to ride on an elephant and I begged mama to get me a funnel cake. We got to watch the lions and acrobats. It was really fun until the clowns came out I didn't like clowns so I grabbed onto mama a little tighter. Once the clowns go away we watch the rest of the circus with my favorite part being the guy who was juggling the things on fire. We go home where I play with my toys for the rest of the day.
Morgan's pov
"Goodnight Y/n I love you" I say kissing my 6 year old daughter on the head and tucking her in.
"Goodnight mommy" she says yawning. I stand up from my crouched position making my way to the light switch turning off the lights and gently closing the door. I make my way to my bedroom and start my nightly routine. I turn off the lamp next to my bed and close my eyes letting sleep take over me. I get woken up when I hear my door creaking open. I lazily look over to my clock to see its 2:17 in the morning, I look over to my door to see Y/n standing there crying while clutching her stuffed animal. I sigh and motion her over to my bed which she sits on.
"What happened honey?" I ask gently while rubbing her back trying to calm her sobs.
"I had a nightmare" she sobs
"What was it about?" I ask and she goes into detail about how there were clowns and balloons and animals. In a way she is right about her nightmare, most balloons have a murderous clown on the other end of them.
"Y/n I did notice that you grabbed onto me tightly when the clowns came out at the circus. Are you afraid of them? If so it's okay there's nothing to be scared of" I say hugging her.
"Can I sleep with you tonight?" She asks with puppy dog eyes and I smile nodding slightly. She curls up next to me and I wrap my arm around her.
"Don't worry I won't let anything happen to you" I say kissing her head.
"I love you mama"
"I love you too Y/n"
