Fred's pov

Victor would probably be dressing putting up his suit all happily, I had to leave today for abuja, I can't stay here anymore, I couldn't bear it all, this whole house had memories with victor I wanted to totally forget.

Belinda is currently sleeping in the room, she'll probably be having a hangover when she wakes up, luckily for me I don't really get hangovers just a little headache.

I know leaving this way would totally make alot of people mad at me, someone like Belinda and most especially Biola, I'll be visiting Lagos probably until I find a replacement in the office. I would have totally considered Biola but her credentials weren't up to par.

I decide to pack up as I would be leaving by 1pm in the afternoon by airplane, abuja is really far from Lagos and I'm not a road person, the journey is just too long.

I finished packing as I headed for the kitchen to find myself something to eat, i boiled hot water for tea as I spread butter on my bread eating it and patiently waiting for the water to boil, I know it's pure coincidence but this is exactly the day that would make it 2 years since I've known victor. Today on his wedding day, was our two year anniversary as friends, we actually started dating 6 months  after we met.

I remember that day clearly, and I often wonder to my self, what if?, What if victor hadn't approached me, how would my life be?, But that wasn't even something to think about, cause he approached me and my life is what it is now, a mess. Although I do not have a single regret at all from our first encounter, I just wished I had made decisions a bit differently.

I know if I had fought for victor back then, I wouldn't have met Belinda, so it's kinda a blessing in some kinda way, the mother I was trying to keep in my life, isn't even here now, I lost victor, mama the only thing I have now, the only person I have is Belinda and I'm trying to move away from her life.

I turned around to a very grumpy Belinda, she was with a pack of paracetamol and a cup of water on her hands

" Freddy I'm not feeling very good, I guess we drank too much yesterday" she said taking two tablets of paracetamol and placing it on het tongue before using water to gush it down.

That was just so weird, how do one put the tablet before water, like that is totally weird, it's actually the water before the tablet, imagine me putting the tablet first and tasting all the bitterness

" Sorry Bella, how do you manage to take drugs that way" I asked walking to the dinning table

"What way?" She asked

" Tablet before water" I answered shrugging a little

" How else would I take it?' she asked

" Never mind, you can take a hot cup of tea and go relax" I said sipping my tea

" Oh okay, by the way , what's all the packed luggage in the room for, and why are you all dressed, where are you going to? She asked sitting on one of the dinning chairs

" Well I'm relocating to abuja" I say a bit nonchalantly waiting for her reaction

" You're what!" She raised her voice

"Bella calm down" I said holding her hands

" I mean why now?, why so soon?, so sudden and all, can't you atleast wait a bit and stuff" she said Looking at me trying to find answers

" Staying here isn't helping, like Vic is literally almost married now, staying here would only hurt me further, he's married now and I'm certain I've lost him for good, atleast going to abuja will help, the new branch would be opening next two weeks and me being there would help alot, I want to go there cause it's new so I'll supervise things well and also try to get over him" I said to Belinda praying she would understand

" I'm sorry fred, I know it must be hard, but-, have you told Biola?, I'm assuming she knows already" she said giving me the pitiful look

" She doesn't know yet, I plan on calling her, I hope she understands me and takes it well, although I doubt she would" I said

" I'll definitely come visit you and when we have events to plan in Abuja just trust me to come crash and disturb your privacy" she said poking me and laughing

"You'll never be a disturbance to me Bella" I said smiling

"Ehen Bella, what happened with you last night" I asked

She narrated all that has happened and I told her how my night went, it's really weird how our nights were almost similar, just that mine was way worse. Belinda couldn't help but laugh alot when I told her about kola, it still sounded really awful to me, atleast hers was just a hot steamy make out session with her ex boyfriend who has a girlfriend, mine was actual sex with a married man with two kids .

Belinda escorted me when it was time to go to the airport. I had called Biola and she was surprisingly understanding, I guess it's goodbye then, all the things I had achieved here in Lagos I was leaving all the memories behind. It's going to be a fresh start this time. Atleast I'm willing to try.
