i walked up to her parents house, today I'll find out if she is happy or not
breathing in sharply i ringed the bell,
"as salam alaikum aunty" i greeted cheerfully
"samad!!!! wa alaikum as salam" she greeted happily and surprised
"come on in" she said holding my arm
"akram....see who is here after so many days" she called uncle
"and you mister sit here and tell me where were you since so many days" she said angrily
"i...i was busy" i said her rubbing my neck awkwardly
"oh i see where were you this time...france?..spain?" she said mockingly
"offo aunty no!.... i was not travelling i executed Amal's design in one of my fathers project so i was busy"
she looked at me wide eyed
"really??? does amal know...she will be so happy"
"no...i am not in contact with her" i said looking down upsetly
she furrowed her eyebrows
"why??"
"she is married na may be she feels awkward now"
"what??...i dont think so!! i mean you are childhood freinds" she said shrugging
uncle walked in
"arey dekho zara ...mr samad ko kaise yaad agayi hum buddhe miya biwi ki??" he asked
(oh look here...how come mr samad remembered to meet this old husband abd wife?)
i stood up and hugged him
"as salam alaikum....arey aap dono aise taunt karna bandh karege? derse hi sahi aa toh gaya na mai!!"
(oh will you guys stop taunting me? i know i am late but i came na?)
"ha ha bhai dost ki shadi hogayi toh maa baap ko bhul gaya tha or ab aake Kehta hai tanz ka karein"
(yes yes your freind got married so you will forget the parents na and you came now and to not taunt you)
i rolled my eyes playfully
"acha aunty kebab khilade bohot yaad kiya maine apke hath k kebab"
(okay aunty please make me kebabs i missed your kebabs a lot)
nodding she got up
i turned towards uncle
"how are you, how's life" uncle asked
"i am good alhamdulillah, how are you"
"allah ka karam hai" he replied
"umm...how is amal?"
he sighed heavily
"she is very fine alhamdulillah, very happy does not even gets time to talks to us"
"how are her studies?" i asked trying to dig up some information
"honestly beta i dont know we havent talked breifly to her in months she is always at some party with arham or travelling"
"even now she is at some island on her honeymoon, arham gave her surprise so she wasnt able to inform we were so worried for her since twenty days"
as soon as he said twenty days i got stiff
"twenty days???" i asked to confirm
how is it possible i met arham like 15 days ago i guess, i dont remember exact number of days,
but they were in new york 20 days ago i am sure of that.
"are you saying they are not in new york since twenty days?" i asked again not able to understand the situation
"yes..they are on some island with no cell phone towers"
i frowned in confusion
why did he lie to them and why is amal also lying to her parents about her whereabouts
