Fairy Tail: Lucy's Resolve

Chapter 4

( Lucy's POV )

         After some time, Master Makarov had finally came out of his office and stood on the railing of the second floor gaining everyone's attention with Mavis besides him. "Listen up brats!" Everyone immediately became quiet wanting to know what was the announcement. "The magic council has requested our assistance in defeating a major dark guild and it's lower branches, we will be forming an alliance with other legal guild's which are: Lamia Scale,  Blue Pegasus,  Mermaid Heel, Sabertooth,  and Phoenix's

Embrace." There were many whispers here and there along with questioning the Phoenix's Embrace guild that participated in last year's GMG- that had many strong members too- and the name of the dark guild. "Oi, gramps whose the dark guild?" Laxus asked from his usual table work the Raijinshu / Thunder God Tribe. "The dark guild is" he hesitated before he said, "Death's Door." A collection of gasps were heard all throughout the guild, some paled and others shuddered remembering the stories of countless of deaths and mysterious disappearings only to find them in horrendous states.  I narrowed my eyes at the mention of Death's Door. I've destroyed many of the smaller branches and the dark guild I just returned from destroying was a part of its lower branch, but there were still many more and they're getting stronger.

         "That's why I've decided on forming a team and team leader and you will obey that leader got that?" Master said with with serious expression, "Aye sir" came the replies. "Alright the team will consist of Natsu, Gray, Erza, Mira, Lisanna, Wendy,  Juvia, Gajeel,  Cobra, Laxus, and Lucy."Murmurs were heard throughout the guild, some encouraging th e members who were chosen, to do their best and to show them what Fairy Tail is made of, but as soon as my name got mentioned they were whispering rude remarks,  but I didn't pay much attention to them. I could see the angry tick marks on Master's, Mavis's, and Gildarts's faces and I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. "It's alright,  I don't really care what they think of me, so just tell us what's going to happen." I said through telepathy- putting on a barrier for no one to read my mind like a certain Poison Dragon Slayer.  Master nodded. "Alright you damn brats, listen and listen well you will obey and not question your team leader's decision,  and my decision is final!" He said with a stern face with no room to argue, which the guild members agreed to. "Who is it, Master?" Erza asked. People were whispering that it w as most likely Erza,  or even Mira or Laxus,  oh how wrong they were. "Your team leader is Lucy Heartfilia" The guild became quiet; mouths' agape and then shouts of disbelief and anger were heard. "What" Why that weakling?" "Thought she quit the guild already" "That is not a Man!" More comments like these were heard.

         "Be quiet!" Erza yelled, as the guild became quiet, not wanting to face the wrath of the 'great' Titania. "Master, not to mistrust your judgment or offend you, but I must agree with the guild. I find it very hard to believe that Lucy" Erza said with a hint of annoyance, " is capable to lead a team when we have more capable mages, S-class mages for that matter who have more experience in leadership and that are strong and smart to lead the team" with this everyone in the guild nodded in agreement with the exception of those who haven't ignored me and some who didn't care like Laxus, Gajeel, and Cobra th ought they did have their eyebrows raised.

          Gildarts and I couldn't help but roll our eyes, while master had his fist clenched making his knuckles white and Mavis was staring at the guild members with disbelief, disappointment, and anger. "Yeah, she'll only get in the way! She's weak and she doesn't deserve to be a Fairy Tail wizard!" Natsu yelled, others agreeing as well and I couldn't help but feel the pain I felt when all of this started. I gasped, "Shit" I cursed under my breath while I saw master enlarge his fists but suddenly stop when strong magical power seep throughout the guild hall, which was from my spirits trying to force open their gates causing more than half the guild fall on the floor and others making theirs knees buckle and almost giving up, but thankfully I succeeded in denying passage for my spirits to come through. I let out a sigh of relief as they finally calm down.

           I saw master, Gildarts, and Mavis looking at me in concern. "My spirits were trying to pass through their gates,  but I didn't want a fight to happen, oh and are you sure of choosing me to become the team leader?" I asked through telepathy again and master nodded saying, "Yes, my dear, I chose you because you are the most intelligent of the group and not to mention of the whole guild. You're also the strongest, and I know you've defeated many of the smaller branches of Death's Door,  so you are the most familiar with them and their current activities,  and I trust you'll do an excellent job, you're a true leader Lucy you were born to be one." "*sigh* Okay, I'm going head home now, I don't want to deal with them - guild mates- right now, but when you're done contact me for the details" "Alright my child" and with that I existed out of the guild and went home to the Heartfilia Konzern where I now live in.

Whoo! I did it!:) Hope that was good! Sorry if the characters were a bit - or a lot- OOC! Next chapter I'm going to introduce my OC! Anyways, until then!
