Chapter 8

Darry, two-bit, ponyboy, Steve, and soda^^^^

July 4 1965

Babygirl's POV
Steve gave me his DX shirt and I thanked him. I don't think I will be able to wear that dress ever again without thinking of what happened to me, but Steve always made it better for me.

I changed and I honestly felt good just sore.
I went to the bathroom that was in the hospital room. I looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't see me I saw a girl who got hurt badly. I had bruises everywhere on my body even my face. I saw stitches on my arms and legs. I saw a huge bandage on my ribs, but when I put Steve's DX shirt it covered everything up, and it was warm, and smelling like his cologne.
I think I'm falling for Steve Randle.
I put my hair in a messy bun and washed my face.
I walked out of the hospital room and everyone looked at me.
"What?" I smiled
"Nothing" my papa said, I just smiled
"Can we please go home now, I want to see Gracie." I said
"You guys can come too." I told the gang
" pueden venir también" I asked my parents
"Of course they can" my mama smiled
"Can you guys come?" I looked at Darry
"We will be happy too." He said grinning

We all went into the cars and drove to my house
"Honey when you get home we have for a surprise for you Okay."my papa said smiling.
"Okay"

We arrived at my house and the gang was parking. I waited for the gang to come that way we can all go in together.
"Hey haven't  seen you in so long" Two
Joked
"Welcome to our home"my mom told the gang
We all entered and I was the last to enter
"You have a lovely home Mrs. Blue" I heard Darry say
"Thank you Darrel." She said back
"Okay Baby put this over your eyes." My papa said giving me a blind fold.
"Okay" I said slowly. I put the blind fold over my eyes and my papa helped me get some where.
"Where are we going?" I asked
"You'll see" papa said
"I don't even know where we are going" Two said

We finally stopped walking.
"Take off your blind fold" mama said happily
I slowly took off the blind fold. I saw my sister, after 8 years of not seeing her. I ran to her and she ran to me, we smashed into each other.
"I missed you so much sunny" I cried
"Me too baby"she cried
I looked at her and she was crying but had tears of joy
"It's been too long" I hugged her tightly never wanting to let her go.
"You look so big" she smiled
"You too" I smiled back
"I missed you so much" she cried on shoulder
"I did too" i cried on her shoulder.
We hugged for a good 5 minutes and then I remembered that everyone was still there.
"I want you to meet my friends." I said smiling and wiping my tears away.
"Guys this is my older sister Sunshine she is 21 years old, and I haven't seen her since I was 9"
"Wow, that's a long time" Two said
"No shit two, I bet you can't last a full week without booze let alone a day" Steve said chucking
"I bet you can't last an hour with our eating
chocolate" two teased back
"Now that's true" Steve said smiling
Everyone just laughed.
"Sunshine these are my friends" I introduced her to the gang
"I'm Sodapop Curtis I'm 18" Soda flashed his movie star smile
"Babygirl, quien es ese chico guapo?" My sister said
"Mi amigo mas tu eres muy grade par estar con el." I laughed
"True" She said back
"Nice to meet you soda pop" she shook his hand
"I'm Steve Randle. I'm 18 as Well me and soda are buddies, me and baby are also buddies" Steve said giving his toothy smile
"Soda and I and baby and I, stupid" pony mumbled
"I'm two bit Matthews I like beer and making jokes and I love Mickey Mouse" two said cooly
" I'm ponyboy Curtis I'm 15" pony said shyly
"I'm Johnny Cade 16" Johnny mumbled
"I'm Dallas Winston call me Dally" dally said taking out a cigarette, I rolled my eyes playfully and moved on to Darry
"Darry, earth to Darrel Shayne Curtis jr." Darry was day dreaming and looking at my sister. I have a feeling that they are going to be together.
"H-hi I'm d-Darrel Curtis me  um im 21 yeah um nice to meet you sunshine" He said stuttering and scratching his neck.
"Hi I'm-I'm sunshine lily blue" she said giggling and blushing
"Okay love birds can we go" Two said like a little baby.
We all laughed  and walked back to my house.
