Naruto POV

“Naruto, Temari, you are exactly on time, as expected. Tsunade is waiting for you, just up the stairs and into the second door on your right.”, Shizune informed us, as we entered the hokage tower for our appointment with the new Hokage. Yesterday Tsunade had been officially announced as the replacement for Hiruzen. I smiled at the black haired girl and lead Temari up the stairs. When we got to the door, I knocked and almost immediately Tsunade’s voice answered and called us in.

When we entered, I knew that it was a mistake to not let Rasa accompany me. He had a meeting with Tsunade later today and I thought that this would not be something where I would need the Kazekage’s influence to do something. I was face to face with the complete council of Konoha, while Tsunade looked at me apologetically. “Hello Naruto, I’m sorry, they wanted to be present at all costs.”, the hokage greeted us. I took Temari’s hand and smiled at her, before answering the Hokage. “Hello Lady Hokage, I’m sure that they will not be of any trouble.”, I said, looking only at her and ignoring the council.

“Well what did you want to talk about Naruto?”, Tsunade asked, also ignoring the few councillors that had raised their hands to say something. “Well, as you all know by now, I am the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. The third hokage had promised me to give me my rightful inheritance after the exams, since he had held onto them since my birth. I just wanted to know, if you would honor your predecessors plans.”, I explained my reasons for this meeting. Tsunade nodded, understanding and wanted to say something but was interrupted. “Mister Namikaze won't need his inheritance given to him. After all he will be joining Konoha’s forces again and then his father’s and mother’s bank accounts will be automatically transferred to his name. After all, he always wanted to come back here and to be allowed to live in his home again.”, a woman with blonde hair spoke, grinning smugly. Temari tensed visibly and reached into her pocket while I remained calm and put my arm around Temari’s waist. Tsunade was shocked by the woman and was staring at her with wide eyes. “And what makes you so sure about that? I am a shinobi of the sand and the only reason I am still in this village is because I payed respect to an old friend and wanted to finish my business here. I mean, after all I am still technically banned from entering the land of fire. I am only standing here because Hiruzen Sarutobi has granted me access for the exams.”, I said, looking the woman into the eyes, challengingly. “That was not a question, that was an order. You are the son of the fourth hokage and because of that you will have to come back to Konoha, even if we have to use force to do so.”, the same woman spoke again. “Miss Haruno, who has given you the authority to decide such things?”, Tsunade spoke in a soft yet dangerous voice. Sakura’s mother paled as she faced the hokage, who was visibly furious. “I had agreed to you all sitting here, if you would be silent and only observe, but now you are trying to pressure this kid into something he doesn't want and are even threatening him. That is it. Mebuki Haruno, you are off the council.”, Tsunade said, sitting calmly in her seat, but lacing her voice with so much anger that the woman cowered down and left without a single word. I smiled and turned back to Tsunade who had calmed down. “Of course I am going to give you your rightful inheritance. Your parent’s bank account will be transfered to your name and also the two estates that your parents had owned will be turned over to you.”, I perked up hearing about the estates, Hiruzen had never told me about them. “Thank you, Lady Hokage.”, I said, bowing slightly. Tsunade held out a scroll. “This is a map where the two houses are marked and also a certification of ownership that they are really yours. There were no keys left by your parents, so you may have to replace the locks.”, she explained as I took the scroll and put it my pocket. “Your parents bank account will be yours tomorrow, then you can go to the bank and transfer the money to your own account.”, Tsunade explained further. I nodded and thanked her again, turning around to go out of the room. Then I felt the air get colder and someone whispering something, before two Anbu appeared in front of the door, blocking the way. I looked towards Temari and saw an Anbu pressing a kunai at her throat. Immediately I had my sword in one hand and a hiraishin kunai in the other. “Do you want to tell me what is going on?”, I asked the civilian side of the council, since Tsunade and the other shinobi were staring at the Anbu with wide eyes. “Did you really think, that Mebuki was alone in her plan to force you to stay here? After all your genes are splendid, the giant chakra capacity of the Uzumaki and the intelligence of your father. We will put you in our clan restoration act and then you will be a prisoner, if you do not comply. And think about your little girlfriend, you wouldn't want to risk her life.”, a man spoke up, gaining nods and smirks from the other civilians. I tensed up and was ready to fight if the Anbu that held Temari would move even a muscle, but Tsunade was faster. “Anbu stand down! Cat, Tenzo, seize the civilian council! And get me Mebuki Haruno in here!”, she ordered, causing the Anbu to release Temari, who ran straight into my arms, pressing her face into my neck. I sealed my sword again, while two more Anbu appeared and took the five remaining council members into custody. “We will leave this to you, Lady Hokage, I hope you will notify me when their punishment is decided.”, I said, before a yellow flash enveloped me and Temari.
