Naruto POV

I chained the blindfolded Anbu to the wall of the cave which we had taken as a base. Temari looked uneasy, while she set up her weapons. After we had eaten something our captive began to stir, startling us both. “What do you want to know?”, I asked Temari, who had a fearful look in her eyes. “Just why he did it. And if Kankuro was just a random bystander who happened to be in the way, or if he was a target.”, she whispered. I nodded and went before the chained murderer. “What do you want?”, he spat at me, without lifting his head. “I just want to talk.”, I said, looking back at Temari, only to see that she went out of the cave. “So, what was your objective in the attack off Sunagakure?”, I asked, noticing that he stiffened. “I have no idea what you're talking about.”, He stated calmly, but his body language betrayed him. “Ohh really?”, I asked again, readying myself for what would follow. “Yes, really.”, he said. I sighed, before cocking my hand back and, enhancing my punch with chakra, hitting him in the stomach. The Adult doubled over, only being held upright by his chains.

Temari POV

I heard silent screams coming out of the cave, hoping that no one else would be able to hear them. I didn't want to think about what happened inside of that particular cave, because I felt sick just seeing how the guy was chained up. I walked around in the forest just outside of the desert, while thinking about what had happened recently. I was close to tears when I sat under a tree, the memories and the loss of Kankuro really settling in just now. I felt tears escaping my eyes and rolling down my cheeks at the thought of my brother. I silently cried while the screams from the cave slowly died away.

Suddenly I felt a pair of hands sneaking around my shoulders. I winced and reached for a Kunai, but I couldn't move while the unknown person kept me inside his embrace. “Everything will be fine Tema. Let it all out.”, I heard Naruto’s voice. I turned around and threw my arms around his neck. I just kept crying into his shoulder while Naruto tried to calm me down.

Naruto POV

After Temari had calmed down, I went back towards the cave, thinking that the Anbu would maybe spill even more informations on the village hidden in the rocks and its allies. I was so focused on my thoughts that I noticed to late that something was off with the hole in the mountain that worked as the  entrance to the cave. When I realized it the Anbu already came at me with lightning sparkling in his hands. I jumped aside, barely avoiding the chidori. I flashed through hand signs and shot some air bullets at my opponent. He blocked them by shooting some mud balls at them before sidestepping a slash by Temari's fan. I made a earth wall behind Temari to block the counterattack from the Anbu and to give Temari time to recover. The attack hit the wall and, to our shock, went right through it without stopping or slowing down. Temari tried to evade the attack but she still got hit on the right arm and leg. She screamed in pain, going down to the ground holding her bleeding thigh. I panicked and just dashed right to her, kicking the Anbu in the process. “You’re gonna be alright.”, I mumbled while trying to heal her leg, which proved difficult with my limited knowledge on medical ninjutsu. She smiled weakly at me and opened her mouth as if to say something. But no tone came out and she closed her eyes and her body lost its tension. I cried out and tried to wake her up again but to no avail. Then I heard chuckling behind me. “Looks like your little girlfriend gave up.”, came the voice of the Iwa-nin from behind me. I shook with rage as I laid Temari next to a tree and turned around, facing the Anbu.

Let me take care of him, please.

He has to suffer. Promise me that.

Yeah, I will avenge your little vixxen.

I grinned at the unsuspecting Anbu and opened the seal a bit more so that Kurama could take over for a while. The Anbu looked confused when he saw me smiling, before readying himself for whatever I would throw at him. What he didn't expect was for my eyes to turn red and my body to be encased in orange chakra.

No-One's POV

Naruto's body was engulfed by this orange chakra which came out of his body. The Anbu on the other end of the small clearing began to sweat under the intense KI which came from the transforming boy. He tried to move but found that his body was somehow paralyzed. Suddenly the chakra coming out of the boy began to shift and formed ears, claws and a tail. The Anbu was still trying to move and when he finally found himself able to do so, he instantly flashed through hand signs and jumped at the transforming boy with glowing fingertips, trying to seal whatever chakra was coming out of the boy. As soon as he got close to his target, he found himself staring into red eyes. His fingertips didn't reach the skin of his opponent so his attack didn't hit. But his fingers touched the orange chakra which was like an extra layer of skin for the boy and got burned, just by slightly gracing it. The Anbu tried to figure out why he couldn't move his arm anymore, until he saw that an extra hand completely made out of chakra had caught his arm. He screamed in pain as he was thrown across the clearing and landed in a tree. The boy grinned inhumanly at the bleeding Shinobi before appearing in front of him and lifting him off the ground. “Noo, please, I will tell you everything I know, just don't kill me!”, the young man pleaded.

Naruto POV

I watched from my mind as Kurama was manhandling the Anbu. I still wanted revenge for the death of Temari but I also wanted to get some intel on Iwagakure.

Let him talk.

I was planning on doing so.

Good.
