#29 Konoha

Naruto POV

I watched the sun rise over the desert sand while waiting for my teammates to come. After our meeting at the Kazekage's office we had a little friendly spar with me going up against Fly, who was the captain of the squad, and Cat and Dragon fighting against each other. even though I suspected Fly to hold back against me I was satisfied to note that I was getting faster again and almost had enough chakra to use my Rasengan Barrage although it would only contain up to twenty clones instead of the usual hundreds of my copies. And even though Fly didn't go all out I too had a few aces up my sleeve. Akira for example who I had not summoned at the moment since she said she had to talk to her father about something and I had not drawn the predator blade not using kenjutsu at all. Although I had to show them the blade after our spar since I still had it strapped to my back and they were astonished to see that this legendary blade of the Uzumaki clan was in the hands of a Shinobi of the Sand. I smiled at the thought and turned around just in time to see the Anbu squad come out of the village. They came to a halt in front of me and I smiled at them. "Could you guys wait just a second?" I asked while I took out one of my father's old three pronged Kunai. "I... Don't tell me.', Cat stuttered with wide eyes. "What is it?", Fly asked with concern in her voice. Meanwhile I was channeling a bit of chakra into the seal on the Kunai and immediately felt the old markers that my father had placed. "I know that Kunai, it was used by the yellow flash, Konoha's fourth Hokage.", Cat said regaining his composure. Now it was Fly whose eyes went wide. She stared at me with held breath. "I've heard rumors that the new kid from Konoha was special but that just blew my imagination.", she murmured. While they were talking I had managed to find a seal from the fourth Hokage that was a little bit outside of Konoha's walls. I looked at the three Anbu and smiled. "Since you have figured out so much already I guess I can fill you in on the rest. I am Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, although I have yet to claim my rights as a clan head for both. I was banished by Konoha which lead to me coming to Suna where I now live as a Genin in a team with Gaara and Temari and Baki as my team captain.", I explained before holding out my hand. "Come on, I want to get this behind me.", I said snapping them out of their disbelief. "But you are not allowed to enter Konoha!", Cat exclaimed while Fly and Dragon had already put their hands on mine. "Well while you are right you are also wrong. Naruto Uzumaki is not allowed to enter the Land of Fire that may be right, but Kitsune as part of a requested Anbu squad is being welcomed with open arms.", I grinned, taking the worries off of Cat who put his hand onto the others and nodded at me. "Well then let's go.", I said pushing chakra into the Kunai. Suddenly there was a flash and we had disappeared from the desert.

"Why didn't you use the Hiraishin in our spar yesterday?", Fly asked while we were jumping towards Konoha. "I'm not fast enough to use it effectively in battle, I need to much time to find the right marker and still have to use one of my father's Kunai to be able to find those markers, but that will come to me when I get better at sealing and with practice with my father's Jutsu.", I explained. Fly nodded and looked ahead at the gates of Konoha that came into view. I chuckled as we came to the two sleeping chuunin who were supposed to keep watch and track of the people who came into Konoha. My teammates just shook their heads at this display of a lack of discipline. We just went right through the gates and jumped onto the rooftops to go towards the Hokage tower.

The secretary looked up from her paperwork when she noticed that there were people standing in front of her desk and widened her eyes as she saw us looking at her with cold eyes. "We have been requested by your Hokage.", Fly said causing the woman to go through a stack of papers before writing something on the form she had pulled out. "Ok, you can go in.", she said pointing at the wooden door next to her. We went to the door and Fly knocked on the door and after a loud calling to come in from the Hokage we went into the office.

"Hello team alpha, I am pleased to see that your Kazekage has sent someone so fast. My Anbu squads will be ready tomorrow morning so you can rest after your journey here. I suppose you are informed what your task is?", Hiruzen asked. "Yes we are. We will be here at sunrise.", Fly said before we went out of the office again.

"So what can you tell us about this village?", Cat asked as we went into the busy streets of Konoha. "Follow me.", I just said and jumped away towards the giant Hokage monument. "This is the famous Hokage Monument. It is not only a giant sculpture but also the main shelter for civilians in case of war and also the place where Konoha's alert system is in place. You may ask why we did not encounter any Shinobi when I teleported us in Konoha's woods. That the result of a village relying to much on its main defence. This alert system is made out of two seals, a large scale barrier seal that forms a barrier around Konoha and a chakra detection seal, which alerts the Shinobi on patrol whenever a chakra signature passes through the barrier that doesn't belong to one of Konoha's ninja. As a result of that there are very few patrols in Konoha's vicinity. Now for your mission; you will help a few of Konoha's Anbu squads take down a high profile man. He is a war veteran since the times of the first Shinobi war and as a result of that he has a very good strategic understanding of almost every situation. He is also the leader of an underground organisation almost like the Anbu, named Root. Their agents are mostly modified humans who are willing to do anything Danzo says, so if you encounter one of them, kill them immediately or you'll be sorry. The toughest part of the mission will be taking Danzo down. He won't let himself be taken prisoner so you most likely will have to kill him. Watch out for his left arm, it is rumoured that he has implanted several Sharingan into it along with cells of the first Hokage. He also most likely has some type of fail safe on his body just in case that he would be captured so watch out for that too. Now for the environment where you will be fighting; Danzo may be a criminal and a disgusting one at that, but he would never do anything that would harm Konoha or at least that's what he always says. So he will not fight in or around Konoha. I expect him to run away until he deems the distance to Konoha as safe enough and he will most likely have already caught wind of this plan to kill him so beware that he might lead you into a trap and don't just follow him but try to intercept him and to push him into a trap of your own. That's all I know about your mission.", I said, making use of my knowledge from the other timeline since Danzo's doings had been very well documented, even though they could never find any evidence against him. Cat and Dragon nodded a bit dumbfounded while Fly was calculating a plan to take down Danzo. "How many agents are in root?", she asked while sitting down. "I don't know exactly, maybe thirty to fifty but that is just a rough estimate.", I answered sitting down next to her. "Ok, that makes it tricky....", she began. Then we sat on top of the first Hokage's head and started formulating a plan.
