Dawn's POV

After Helena arrived and went to her room to take a shower, she came down to the kitchen and took a bottle of ice cold orange juice and went back to her room

I arranged the kitchen while Mrs. Rose left to the market to buy some groceries and needs to make dinner of chicken soup, rice and meatballs (do people eat this combo for dinner, I guess not🙍 but just play along )

I also went to my room to rest, I heard the doorbell rang and I ran down to open the door and Mrs. Rose was standing there with handful of bags which I helped her with

We went into the house and start preparing the dish

What are you ladies making, Helena asked us walking down the stairs

Oh Helana just some regular, Mrs. Rose said and both ladies continued talking, some minutes later we heard the doorbell again and we all turned our head to the door while Ryan walked in looking exhausted

Who is it if not my boy, Helena said holding up her hand for Ryan

Ryan's face lit up seeing his mother, mum what are you doing here he yelled whisper closely enough for Mrs. Rose and I to hear

Well you Jnr refused to bring me a girl and you know well enough that am dying, Helena said faking a dying mood

Let's eat before the food gets cold, Mrs. Rose said.

No Rose let me ask my son who is 28 clocking 29 in 3 months time why he refuse to bring me a girl who will give grandchildren seeing that I have only him, Helena said with tears forming in her eyes

I believe this issue is of great concern is to her

Muuuum its OK am going to get you a daughter in law soon, Ryan looked up to me with a sad smile as if referring to me

You better do, even dear Dawn will be a good daughter to me she is a good girl I know she is a good girl

I immediately choked on my very own saliva thanks to Helena and her talk

Sorry ma, me noooo am not of the same caliber as Mr Ryan and am sure he do have a pretty lady by his side, I looked up to Ryan to see a smirk on his face

Oh thanks heaven for that statement even thou am hearing it for the first time.

We ate the rest of the food in silence and I waited after to clean the dishes and I went to my room.
