'Damn. Now what? My ice or fire don't seem to effective against whatever that thing is' Torodoki narrowed his eyes at the Nomu before him, trying to find a way out of the situation he was currently in. "Ok. Here goes" he muttered, small flames appearing along the right side of his body.

Right as the Nomu was about to attack, it was restrained by a bone like cage. A second or two later there was flash of blue as a smaller figure came straight down above the Nomu driving it straight into the ground, head first.

'What...was that?' Torodoki blinked, watching the Nomu as it stood back up with ease. "Katashi, one more time!" A female voice shouted. 'Katashi', Todoroki's thoughts were interrupted when he saw y/n standing in front of him. 'Where did she come from?'

His eyes shifted from the once again restrained Nomu to the young girl and everything clicked into place. "Quick we need to get out of here, Katashi won't be able to hold it for long" she grabbed his hand, and started running. To surprised to say anything, Todoroki glanced down, noticing his name inked right across her wrist.

He snapped out of his thoughts as she let him go, the two now a good distance from the Nomu. "Are you okay?" he nodded and continued to look at the girl. "My quirk didn't even put a scratch on it..." she muttered to herself and looked around for Katashi.

"Damn I thought I'd never get free from that thing..." Katashi sighed as he came up to the other two. Todoroki blinked and stared at Katashi his spine now having returned to normal. 

"That things not even human anymore." Katashi muttered as he approached Y/n. "You didn't get hurt did you?" He quickly checked her for wounds before turning to look at Todoroki. "You alright?" Katashi asked, a small scowl on his face. "Yes, thanks" Todoroki replied to which the male let out a small "hmph" and turned away from him.

"We should go" both males turned to y/n as she seemed to be looking at something in the distance, they quickly agreed and began to move out.

"Thank you" Todoroki gave a small bow to emphasize how grateful he was. "Well I couldn't just let my soulmate die. That'd make me the worst partner ever" she smiled sheepishly. Todoroki couldn't help but smile, "Still" he insisted.

There was a pause before she spoke up again, "it's kinda funny, I would always hear about you, the great son of the pro hero Endeavor... I've known who you were for a long time now... I even watched the UA festival" she averted her eyes, the wind ruffling her hair slightly.

"why didn't you ever say anything before?" She blushed and stared at her feet. "I was afraid actually, you're the son of the number 2 hero and I'm just... I was afraid you'd be... disappointed" Todoroki blinked as he stared at her in surprise. 'Disappointed?'

"I wouldn't have been disappointed regardless of when we met." Torodoki smiled and held her hand. "It's kind of ironic.. I noticed you hesitated to use your right side during the festival.. yet my quirk is perfectly compatible with yours."

Right when Torodoki was about to ask her what she meant, a small flame lit up in her palm. "I have a fire quirk too, it's not as strong as yours but it's pretty powerful when combined with another persons flame. My fire can reach extremely high temperatures but I can't really use it as freely as you, but if it's mixed with yours..."

Todoroki stared at the small flame before placing his hand under hers His eyes widened as he noted the fire's intensity and potential, this girl was his catalyst. Todoroki watched as his flames meshed in with hers before morphing into a blue color. "That's amazing."

He had rejected his quirk for so long and yet their power combined created something beautiful. He couldn't help but wonder, if he had met her sooner... she might have just been the push he needed to help him forget his father and embrace his second quirk.

"The day Katashi picked a fight with you... I'm sorry, it was my fault. He's always been there for me, so when he saw your name on my wrist he was beyond disappointed. He didn't mean any harm that day, he's just really overprotective" she peeked up at the male, curious to see what his expression would be.

"I really hope you two could get along. While you are my soulmate and I genuinely do like you, Katashi is still my closest and oldest friend..." Todoroki blinked and held both her hands in his. "I hope we can get along as well. I won't make you choose between the two of us."

Hearing Todoroki's words, Katashi stepped out from around the corner and stared him straight in the eye. "Seems you're not really the ass I thought you were. If you take care of her we won't have a problem. But... if you mistreat her in away way I won't just stand by. I'd willingly give anything for her and frankly I don't care that your name is on her wrist instead of mine" Katashi's golden eyes narrowed as he looked down at the bi-colored haired male.

"Sorry, but I have no intention of giving you the opportunity" Todoroki stared right back at the male, his eyes shifting momentarily to the scars underneath his eyes. "We'll see" with that Katashi turned and ruffled y/n's hair before walking away.

"If Im being honest, I liked you the moment I set eyes on you. I give you my word, I won't loose to him. I hope my name on your wrist reminds you of that." Todoroki turned back to y/n and smiled, gently raising her hand to his lips.

"I have to go for now.. but we'll see each other again soon." He gently placed a piece of paper in her hand before turning away. "Give me a call if you want to talk" he offered her one last smile before heading off.

Y/n watched his retreating figure before looking down at the paper. 'He has nice handwriting' she pulled out her phone and inputting his number. 'He's kind... I don't know what I was so afraid of..' she smiled before putting her phone away and going back to find Katashi, but not before glancing at her wrist once more.
