Standing where I last saw Camille and my daughter leave. She looked good she also bring me back to the good times we had. I had a daughter, Maple Diamond Hayes she was beautiful just like her mother. I turn around heading back to where my sister was and met up with her and our mother. I couldn’t keep the smile off my face knowing I have a kid with the woman of my dreams. I never wanted to lose her in the first place memory lane come but I push back my thoughts and paid attention to the people around me.
“Hey ma, what’s up Marie what did I missed?” I watch them stare at me with a knowing smile “what?” I smiled
“Who is she?” Marie asked
I was confused at the question “Who is who?” I said confused
“The Girl you ran after” Marie clear up for me
I smiled thinking of Camille my dear sweet fiancé “that was my fiancé that got away and she had a kid for me” I wait for their reaction and I got the opposite of what I expected
“WHAT! Was that my Camille… the one I met years ago” My mother had this shock but joyful look on her face
“Who’s Camille… and why am I just hearing about her?” Marie asked shock
I thought of a way to say this nicely and respectful as possible. So I take her hand and my mother’s hand walking out the airport. “Me and Camille had a conflict nine years ago and she ran away. I looked for her but couldn’t find her anywhere. I soon became in rage and didn’t want anything to do with her. We never broke it off she just took off. I was so hurt that I would waste my time drinking myself away. My misery was like a depression that won’t end anything couldn’t save me. No religion, No medicine, nothing” I glance at her with tears in my eyes “I cried for days when I was alone, she don’t know what she took that day she left me”
“What did she take” Marie asked with emotion her voice sound broken
“My heart, My child… the color of life was all grey without humor of feelings to it” I nod and smiled “ Now seeing her again give me hope to bring my broken family back together again”
“What did she have” Marie asked me
“We have a daughter” I smiled “I need to find them and bring her home… we both was born here and raised. She is my world and everything that I need” I smiled bright
Marie squeeze my hand tight “ that explains a lot why you deny every girl I hook you up with… your are in love with the same woman for nine years… that is strong love little brother
I smiled mom was watching us them speaks up “We need to find my grandbaby and my Daughter- in- law to be. I hope she living well and single”
I ball my hand up just the thought of Camille and another guy taking my spot in my Daughters life angry me. I don’t like and hoping as well no other man is in her life. “Let’s start off at going into the system to search her up”
“Honey that is illegal and we will be put in jail” Mom complain
I just shrug “It doesn’t matter… I must have my Girl back. She and I know we are meant to be together… don’t you get it, we are inseparable until she left. I miss what we had and I will get it back” I watch them as they got in the car and I got in myself driving home.
“Hey Jared, where in New York does she live” Marie asked
I lifted a brow “how do you know she is live in New York if I never told you” I asked confused stopping by a stop light
