2nd chapter

“You’re lying!”

“I am not! That’s what really happens.” Danielle rolls her eyes.

“I can’t believe you didn’t call me! I want to meet him too!!” Charlotte was near to tears.

“Hey, you’re not gonna cry, aren’t you?” Danielle laughed.

“I don’t think I'm making a joke.” Charlotte cried.  “Why are you laughing? I'm serious. I’ve always wanted to meet The Amazing Greyson Chance, and you got to meet him, but you didn’t even recognize him!!”

“Okay, okay. I'm sorry I didn’t call you. But I don’t think he would stick around to wait for me to call you and bring you back though.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.”

“Well, let’s pray we’ll get to meet him again someday okay?”

“I wish I get to meet him soon.” Charlotte prayed. Danielle just laughed and rolled her eyes.

A few months passed by, and Danielle has forgotten about the incident in the girls bathroom.

It was winter; Danielle and Charlotte went to buy coffee. They both got jobs now that they’re eighteen, so they had more money to spend for themselves. Danielle has bought a new white blouse which she wears underneath her jacket.

Entering the coffee house, it felt much warmer. She took of her jacket and sat at the tables, seeing that the line to the counter was so long.

I’d rather sit here and wait for the line to finish, I'm not in a rush anywhere. Charlotte is at store near the coffee house, buying more useless things I guess. Danielle sat there staring at the line.

A few minutes later, the line has shortened, so Danielle stands up. She rushes to line up, not wanting to be at the back so long. She has a lot of things to do other than stand there in the line doing nothing.

At last, she reached the counter. She orders her coffee with extra sugar and coffee, as she usually does. After paying, Danielle went back to her table. Sipping her coffee, Danielle reaches out to her jacket, and turn toward the door.

Unfortunately, there was someone standing right behind her. Not knowing that, she turned and her coffee spilled all over her new blouse. Gasping, Danielle let out a loud yelp.

The man who was standing behind her apologized at her over and over. “I am so, sorry, I really didn’t see you there. I'm really really sorry, truly, please, let me help you.”

Danielle, having hot coffee spilled at her made her angry, of course. “Oh you didn’t see me, well I'm wondering if you even use your eyes at all.” She was near to tears. “And now I’ve wasted my coffee, and my new blouse is ruined. Thanks, really!”

“Please, I’m very sorry, I’ll buy you another cup of coffee. Okay?”

Danielle looked at the man. He wasn’t a man, just a boy, a teenager. About my age? Why is he wearing sunglasses?

The boy took of his sunglasses. “Oh, it’s you!” he said.

“You are..?” Danielle asked, still angry. “I'm not that good at remembering faces.”

“Well, maybe you’ll remember this.” The boy leaned forward. Danielle, surprised, leaned forward too. The boy starts singing the chorus of the song Waiting Outside The Lines.

“Oh, it’s you!” said Danielle smiling. “Goofy face!”

“What?”

Oh no, I did not just said what I think I said, thought Danielle. “Nothing.” She smiled. “What are you doing here?”
