Forever yours

1st chapter-

“Isn’t this great Danny?” Charlotte asked Danielle who was walking right next to her.

“Yeah, whatever.”

“Comon girl, you just have to forget about him!! He’s poisoning your mind.”

“Easy said than done.” Danielle rolled her eyes.

Danielle walked close to Charlotte. They were at a big mall, not shopping, just walking. They went ice skating at the ice rink in the middle of the mall.

Usually Danielle would be exited to go to this mall, for it was big, there is a skating rink in the middle of it, and there is always a sale somewhere, but not today.

“Danny, it’s been a month already. You just have to forget about him! You can’t go on living like this forever?”

 “It’s not that easy Char.” Danielle sighed. She has just been dumped by her boyfriend, Derek Freeman, for another girl.

Now this isn’t the reason why Danielle is so upset. The reason is the way he dumped her. It wasn’t just a ‘hey, I don’t think we should be together, lets breakup’ kind of breakup.

Derek’s ex girlfriend, Katie Howl, came back from England a few weeks before they ended their relationship. She was furious to know that Derek had a new girlfriend when the fact is she and Derek never really broke up.

Katie called Danielle to explain, but no way Danielle was gonna let go of her man. They argued for like hours on the phone before Katie hung up with a warning.

 ‘I’ll get him back, no matter what it takes.’

Danielle was frightened at first, but then she thought rationally.

How could that girl get Derek back? He’s mine now. There must be a reason for him to pick me over her when she was gone.

 So eventually she let go of her worries and went to Charlotte’s house to hang out.

Unfortunately, Katie Howl wasn’t the girl who gave up easily. Three hours later, Danielle got a call from Derek. Expecting him to tell about how his ex girlfriend came and begged him, Derek simply told her that their relationship was over.

The words hit her like an electricity shock. She asked why, trying to keep her voice calm. Derek told her that there’s been a mistake.

He and Katie never really broke up, and he forgot about it. Well, now that Katie is here, Danielle has to go.

Danielle asked how she persuaded him to break up with her. Derek shamelessly told her that they had just had sex.

“That explains everything.” Danielle told him, and she hung up.

That night, Danielle cried on Charlottes shoulder, felling like she has never been ashamed like she is now.

“It’s been a month already, and you just have to forget it.” Charlotte said to Danielle. “You can’t carry on living like this, it’s not healthy. You’re not eating. And I never see you smile anymore.”

“Well, I don’t know why but I just can’t get Derek’s words out of my head. The way he told me that he and Katie- did that, I just can’t forget it you know. Like it’s stuck to my head. Like a tape being rewind over and over.” She looked up. In front of her, there was a big crowd.

“What’s going on over there? Let’s take a look Danny.”  Charlotte tugged Danielle's hand hard. “It looks like there’s some kind of show or something.”
