Yes, I was absolutely right. He didn't miss me at all. It'd been two days since I woke up but he still hasn't come to meet me.

Whenever I asked Aish or Noah or Zack about him, they just made some lame excuses saying that he is out or busy.

Busy my ass. I knew he was just ignoring me. I didn't know the reason though.

A knock on the door made me snap out of my thoughts.

Strange! Aish and Noah just barge inside without knocking. The nurses or doctors peek in before coming inside. Nobody ever knocks.

Clearing my throat, I shouted come in. The door opened and a woman in her mid forties opened the door and slowly walked in. She was dressed in a semi formal black dress that reached her knees and a two inches black wedges, with a Louis Vuitton purse. She carried herself very elegantly.

"You must not know me.", she spoke.

"Of course, I know you. You're Henley West. Aaron's mother.", I said politely.

"Oh well, perks of being a wife and mother of famous business tycoons. Everyone knows you.", she smiled.

An awkward silence followed her words. We both didn't know what to say. I haven't really talked to Aaron's mother. Just once when Arthur West introduced me to his wife in a ball, we'd exchanged greetings but that was years ago.

"Well how are you doing?", she asked.

"I've been okay."

She came closer to me, her eyes studying my face. It slightly made me uncomfortable.

"Is something wrong?", I asked her.

"No, I'm just trying to figure out how a girl so perfect like you would want to live with my idiot of son, that too by choice!", she said.

Okay, I did not see that coming.

"I , umm-"

"No, I understand. These West boys are a real charmer. How do you think Arthur impressed me?", she winked playfully.

A chuckle left my mouth and she joined me. She seemed a nice lady.

"So, did Aaron meet you yet?", she asked taking a seat on the chair.

My mood instantly dropped and I answered her question with a bitter no.

"Oh."

"Yeah, well apparently he's too busy.", I said, emotionless.

"He's not busy, he's guilty."

"What?", I looked at her,"Guilty? About what?"

Sighing she said,"Well it's not my place to tell you that. You'll have to ask him yourself."

"But how will I? He's not even meeting me."

"So you go, meet him.", she said as a matter of fact-ly.
