I and Julia were laughing at our college memories when suddenly she looked behind me and her expression changed from happiness to amusement.

"Looks like it's your lucky day, West.", she says.

I raised my eyebrow.

She ignored it and called," Rachel."

Hearing this name made me turn around to find the most beautiful woman staring back at us.

After she reached our table, Julia made her sit and they talked casually.

Rachel was avoiding eye contact with me which was irritating the hell out of me.

I wanted her to look at me so I asked her," So Rachel, what are you doing here alone?"

I noticed her body stiffen as she reluctantly looked towards me.

Finally.

She was busy staring at me which made her forget to answer me.

She is checking me out!

This thought made me happy.

In order to gain her attention, I called her again.

"I ..um..I had a meeting with a client."

I wanted to talk to her further but my damn phone had to interrupt.

I wanted to ignore it but it was Robin.

He the chief architect of the Roger's hotels.

It might be important.

I excused myself and went in the balcony.

"Hello!"

"Good evening sir, sorry to bother you past working hours but it was important.", he apologized.

"That's fine Robin. Go ahead."

"Sir, there is some problem with one of our locations."

"What is it?"

"Sir, for the construction to begin, the previous owners require your's and Ms Watson's signatures."

"But I thought all the paperwork are done."

"We're sorry for the tardiness sir."

"Fine, just send the papers to our respective offices."

"Actually Sir, you both have to be present physically to sign them.", he said with fear in his voice.

This is annoying but then again, we can't over look technicalities, no matter how rich we are.

"Fine, I and Rachel will be there tomorrow."

"Thank you sir.", he said relieved.

With that I cut the call and walked inside.

The vibe on our table was different this time. It was serious.
