What Family Dinner!?

Rue had woken up it was Sunday and after her weekend with Vince and Trent and their siblings she was tired but excited to she her grandfather. A huge smile came across her face she quickly got up and got dressed. She waited for her grandfather so she could start cooking with him. She loved her grandfather for a lot of reasons she was just glad to have him back in her life.

Rue heard three knocks at the door, she jumped up and down she felt so young agian.

"It's your granddaddy open up so we can go to dinner."Kane yelled through the door. Rue paused 'go to dinner?' she questioned in her head. She open the door with a huge grin on her face.

"Grandaddy!"Rue hugged the life out of her grandfatther.

"You ready to go?"

"Go?" Rue didn't want to go anywhere she wanted to have a simple dinner with her grandfather.

"Yes I am taking you out to dinner, I don't want you cooking in that kitchen of yours until you get some actuall gorcery. You ain't finna have me sitting here eating roman noodles and drinking tears no sir. I'm taking you shopping soo lets go eat." Rue sighed and went to change clothes she put on a lime green snap back, white polo shirt, and white vans with a light green strip around the middle and black shorts.

"Ready." Rue walked out with her phone and her keys and a couple dollers. Rue followed her grandfather to the place they were going to she frowed when he started to make familar turns. She beep the horn when they arrive at her parents house and all of them were sitting outside the house."What the hell Granddad!" Rue asked as she got cloes to his car door.

"Look I know but they said they had something they want to talk to us about."Kane didn't want to be there either but he wanted to see what they had on the table.

"I don't want to be here with these motherfuckers hell at least not on a Sunday! What they got to talk about?!" Rue leaning against the car she said it calmly but you could tell she was upset.

"Now Rue it's Sunday the lords day watch you words hear?"

"Sorry granddad but I don't feel comfortable here and you know that?"

"It's just one dinner afterwards if the cooking ain't worth a damn then we will stop by a Taco Bell or something."Kane said pinky promising Rue.

"Fine, lets see what the plastics want." Rue rolled her eyes. They walk towards the family looking perfect as all ways. The family smiled but Kane and Rue walked up to them with blank faces ready to get things done. Francis on the other hand look at them with her noes scrunched up.

"Hello Rue!"Her mother instantly went in for a hug. Rue didn't know what to this was unusual to her. That wasn't a mothers touch it was a strangers to her. Mrs.Irving had the mothers touch. She didn't know how to wrap her arms around her she just patted it out. It was the safest way to go.

"uh...hi."Rue looked at her mother crazy she had the 'what the fuck' face but she didn't say anything about it. Everyone smiled execpt Rue and her grandfather it was an akward silence. Jason put his hand on Rue's shoulder.

"Lets go inside in and eat shall we!"Rue look at the hand on her shoulder and slid it off.

"Look here are the rules, no touching, no talking about family problems, no anything, no whining, nothing. Just eat and talk about your daily lives as it is got it?"Rue looked at the family with a serious eye.

"Lets just get inside."Her father said. they all went inside and saw a feast at the table. Chicken, turkey, ham, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese, green beans, corn bread, rolls, pasta, dressing, and last kool-aid which was Kane's weakness.
