Bennett Caldwell and Mrs.Irving knocked on Rue's door to her apartment. But they knocked to hard to make Mr.Avery come out his apartment shirtless and have a hangover.

"Why are you knocking so hard? Hazel Irving what are you even doing here at 10:00 am on a Saturday? And Who are you?" Mr.Avery was shooting question at them.

"None of your business who I am who are you?" Bennett caught an attitude real quick. He wanted to know who this man was staying by Rue.

"Look David go back in your apartment please put a shirt on and drink some coffee and you'll be fine.Nobody wants to see your abs this morning." Mrs.Irving told him. Just then Rue open the door.

"Ahh Rue angelo face how you doing this morning?"Bennett pull Rue in for a hug.

"Just find Uncle Caldwell little sore but fine."Rue hugged Mrs.Irving.

"How are you mentally?"Mrs. Irving asked her.

"Fine Mrs.Irving nothing is broken." Rue told her. Mr.Avery leaned on the wall in the hallway.

"Well y'all come on in! Uncle Caldwell you made lasagna and Mrs.Irving you made me a butterfingers cake? I love y'all." Rue let them in. But froze when she saw leaning on the wall in the hallway.

"Good-morning Rue, when did you get here? Where are your parents?" Mr.Avery stood in her door way but just enough for her to close the door.

"Look Mr.Avery I have been here for three weeks and been avoiding you all during that time. I mean seriously I have. Please put a shirt on your creeping me the hell out and have a blessed day."Rue closed the door. But he just knocked on it again this time with a shirt.

"May I come in?" Mr.Avery went in before she could say no.

'Look here crispy cream I didn't tell your rude ass you can come in' is what Rue thought but she said was.

"Sure come on in."She said sarcastically. Mr.Avery sat at the table next to Mrs.Irving. Bennett sat across from him.

"Rue what the hell is this guy doing here? Who is he by the way?" Bennett

"Well Uncle Caldwell this is my Algebra teacher David Avery." Rue pulled out some mugs and poured everyone some coffee. She put the cream and sugar and milk on the table.

"He doesn't look like the teaching type."

"Yea, I know."Rue put some cream in her coffee and sugar. She took her coffee in and took a sip. She loved the smell of coffee in the morning.

"Who are you?" Mr.Avery asked bluntly after taking a drink of his coffee.

"I'm her Uncle Caldwell." Bennett was 35 but he looked 26 six. He didn't look like an Uncle.

"You don't look like her Uncle." Mr.Avery narrowed his eyes at him.

"He took me in as his god daughter." Rue explained. She drunk some more coffee and crossed her leg and leaned back in her chair.

"Then why is Hazel here?" Mr.Avery pointed at Mrs.Irving.

"Because she invited me David unlike you." Mrs.Irving told him.

"Well consider this a welcome from me Rue."Mr.Avery said.

"Looks like she welcoming you."Bennett told him.

"Oh Really." Rue sat back watch the two argue. She finish her cup of coffee. Mrs.Irving fixed her another cup of coffee.

"Aye! If I get kicked out of my apartment because you to want to fuss and be petty I'm slapping y'all into next week. Now sit down and drink some coffee." They looked at her in surprise.

"Well Rue I talked to Vince." Bennett put his hand over hers.

"I don't want to talk about it I just want him to stay away from me,"Rue told him and took another sip of her coffee. "If he wants to act like a petty controlling maniac then let him do it I can't control him."

"Rue you didn't deserve that, your a very ragazza intelligente, bella e onesta è per questo che il vostro dio mia figlia." Bennett told her. He taught her italian.

"Thank you Uncle Caldwell I appreciate it I just think that society doesn't."

"Don't worry about it if anyone picks with you they are picking on me and Mrs.Irving call us if you need anything."

"Sono solo stanco di tutto zio Caldwell." Rue told him.

"So bambina lo so." Bennett pulled Rue for a hug. "Maybe it's time we leave."

"Yea thank you for the coffee Rue."Mr.Avery got up and put the cup in the sink and left.

"I'm watching him."Bennett told Rue. Gave her another hug.

"Enjoy the cake Rue it was made with love."Mrs.Irving hugged her. Bennett and Mrs.Irving left leaving Rue in silent solitude.
