Chapter 24: The Scene

It’s hard to see three people who loved you all at the same room. The most awkward thing that has ever happened to me! Words cannot come out on my mouth for a few seconds because of that awkward situation. My mind is jumbled and I need to have it sorted out in an instant. I was really pressured but I started the whole thing with meet and greet.

“Im sorry!” I exclaimed. “I’m also confused na nandidito tayong lahat hehe. By the way. I-I want to introduce to you first my Fiance, Arianna, Arianna meet Dante!” pautal kong sabi.

“Hi,” she greeted Dante and gave a short wave. Dante gave a slight grin.

Hindi ko na ipinakilala si Edward sa kanya dahil magkakilala rin naman sila obviously.

“Dante was my college friend,” I smiled confidently na ikinasalubong ng kilay mismong ni Dante at Edward.

“I didn’t know him Aries. I knew all of your male friends but I haven’t met him yet.”

Ibang klase itong si Edward, aside from being my best of friends and a FUBU, I can also categorize him as my private detective dahil marami syang alam tungkol sa akin.

“Now meet Dante, Edward. My College friend, from a different subject. Off course hindi mo talaga siya makikilala Bro. When I went here nakita ko sya and we’re planning to do business together kaya please bear with me kung hindi pa ako makakauwi ng Maynila. Right Dante?”

I saw him grinning pero salubong ang kilay.

 “Yes guys. Nandito kami for business purposes dahil balak naming magtayo ng partnership,” he agreed on my made up excuses. “And Aries, hindi mo naman ako sinabihan na may mga bisita ka palang darating? Baka naaabala ko kayo?” he smiled.

“No Dante,” I said.

My GF also explained her side. “I’m sorry if pumunta ako dito without informing you guys baka naaabala ko kayo. I’m actually trying to call my Fiancee but he’s not responding so I went here to see if he’s fine,” she said apologetically.

Edward moved one step and said his side as well. “I also have the same reason like Arianna. I got here, because of my friend’s ignorance of charging his phone, to say that I cleaned up the mess of his GF for posting our ART Photos.”

I looked at Edward sharply and Arianna did the same thing na salubong ang kilay. Dante doesn’t have a clue on what he’s saying.

“Dante if you’re confused, Aries GF tried to devastate our lives by posting our kissing photos in Facebook for public humiliation.”

“C’mmon men what are you talking about?” I said disappointedly na parang ayaw kong marinig ito ni Dante. Napayuko naman si Arianna na tila naguilty.

Edward continued. “Our kissing photos are not what it is but I made the damage control…. Nandito ako to say to my friend Aries na okay na ang lahat, kahit di niya ako tinulungan,” he said that with a tone of disappointment.

“I’m sorry Dante, it’s really a very long story,” utal kong pagsabi. “But what matters most is okay na ang lahat. We’ve already moved on.”

Muling nanumbalik ang ngiti ni Arianna but I’m feeling that Edward was not fine with the situation. He immediately went out of the room like a child and banged the door.

“Wooohh,” buntong hininga ko. “I think I need to explain this to my friend a little bit further,” I said.

“It’s really my fault Aries. Ako talaga ang nagsimula kaya nangyari ang lahat ng ito,” malungkot na sabi ng aking GF.

“No It’s not your fault you know that! Hinding hindi mo kasalanan yun Arianna.”

My GF hugged me tight while Dante was staring at us grinning. I know that he’s puzzled about what’s going on pero nginingitian na lang niya ito.

“Brad. Masaya naman ako na nasolve na yung problema mo.” Tumungo si Dante sa kusina upang ilapag ang kanyang napamiling groceries.

“Yah. I hope so!” di ko siguradong sagot.

“Babe is it fine with you if dito muna ako ng ilang days? I’m really missing you e. After what happened,  ikaw lang ang gusto kong makatabi,” she cried on my chest and I’m feeling it drenched with her tears.

“Stop crying Babe,” I said. “All right, I let you stay here for a couple of days okay?”

I hold both of my Fiancee’s cheek. Naaawa ako sa kanya. Pinunasan ko ang kanyang mga luha gamit ang aking mga daliri. I calmed her with my words.

“Salamat Babe, hindi ko talaga alam ang gagawin ko kung wala ka,” she said.

Sa may kusina’y sinusulyapan ko si Dante habang inaasikaso ang mga pinamiling groceries. Napangiti sya sa akin at napailing sa tila eksenang makikita mo lang sa mga pelikula.
