Draco and I exited Professor LockHart's with relief. I had a whole hour stolen from me by this insufferable annoying self centered teacher. Not only did he give us detention on the first day, but he also unleashed these blue cornish pixies on us! Then proceeding to not save us when they attacked. Not to mention he owned a bunch of paintings of himself, weirdo. He is the most unprofessional teacher I've ever seen. That's an hour I'll never get back.

When the class ended and breakfast begun, I was told to go to professor Snape's classroom and wait till further instructions. I parted my way with Draco and we both headed our ways. I held my books close and breathed deep. I like this teacher, it'll be fine. I just hope I don't get scolded..

I opened the classroom door gently and as quietly as possible, I looked to Snape for instructions but he didn't even acknowledge me. I set my books down where I first sat and wondered if I should sit down and wait or say his name. Snape was going threw an unfamiliar book, did he hear me come in? He seemed captivated by the book, making muttered unintelligible comments every now and again. Wonder what might have made him so stuck in a trance. I slowly made my way to him curiously, I should tell him I'm here and ask for instructions. I stepped in front of his desk and quietly cleared my throat. "Professor Sn-"

"Go grab a chair and put it in front of my desk". Snape interrupted not looking up at me. I decided to just bite my tongue and wait patiently to talk again. I pulled a chair over gently and set it about a foot away from his front desk and sat in it.

The only noise in the room was Professor Snape occasionally flipping the page, and the noises that occasionally came from outside the halls. It lasted like this for more than a few minutes, it was driving me insane. I started to tap my finger repetitively on his desk. If this what detention was going to be, I will never do anything bad again. I hated silence, I hated doing nothing.

After another round of minutes passing, that's when I started to doze off. Snape closed his book loudly catching my undivided attention. I looked at him waiting for him to look at me and tell me what my punishment was. "What'd you exactly do to get here L/N?" Snape asked and finally looked at me. I looked at him and sighed. "I said something unpleasant.. directed to Professor Lockhart..". I put my head down in shame and waited for a scolding. But it went silent and I looked back up at Snape seeing he had an amused expression. "I'll have you do something minor then". He went on and stood up. I smiled a bit, wow that was better than I thought. He started to go on analyzing his room for a chore for me. He pointed to a mahogany bookshelf with books scattered about. "Organize those there, alphabetically". He ordered and pointed at them. Oh not alphabetically. I held myself back from complaining and groaning making my way over there. Well at least it was something minor. But it seemed like an awful lot for soemthing supposed to be minor. I began taking all of the misplaced books off his shelf feeling Snape's eyes just staring at me. I looked up at him while I took the books off his shelves. "L/N, I presume you'll answer this honestly, do you have an idea about Potter's whereabouts? What he's been... up to?" He said in a slight menacing tone. What does that matter to him? I nodded no. I never really hung around them. I shrugged and went threw a few books starting to make alphabetical piles. Snape seemed wary and in disbelief, giving me a certain type of 'I don't believe that bullshit' look. "Honest". I said to him. I heard him hum a bit and leave it at that turning away. "So do you smile Professor?" I asked blatantly and smiled towards him, only teasing. He rolled his eyes and sat in his desk ignoring me. "Do you dye your hair? It's very dark". I went on trying to keep awkward silence away, putting some books from there to there. "Not at all". Snape answered seemingly uninterested in talking. Well that's cool, wondered how old he was. His uninterest didn't stop me though. "How has your morning been Professor snape?" I asked politely. "No different from any other Monday, just you kids pester me now". He muttered and started to write things down on a piece of paper. He was very vague, quiet, only made eye contact when it was convenient for him. He was.. interesting.
