When we walked back inside Flyzik ran up to us.
“What the fuck happened out there?” He almost shouted. Rian and Zack finally let go of Alex and he ran over to his guitar and started to play softly. I could tell he was trying really hard to calm down.
“Those two just beat the shit out of Effie’s ex” Rian said pointing at alex and Jack.
“Why?” He asked. Jack and Alex looked at me. I sighed.
“He got me pregnant” Everyone froze and looked at me, actually my stomach.
“What?” Zack asked. I guess him and Rian didn’t hear alex before.
“You don’t look pregnant” Rian said.
“I got rid of it” I whispered looking down. I felt Jacks hand grab mine “It happened a long time ago”
“Are you okay?” Mike Green asked me.
“I’m fine” I said trying to smile “Can we move on now?” I asked They all nodded. Alex stood up and walked over to me
“Ready to sing?” He asked me. I nodded.
“Ready as I’ll ever be” I said and followed him into the recording room.
“So basically youre just going to sing Juliet’s part of remembering Sunday” He said
“Alright” I said giving him a small smile. He left me alone and walked back to the other room. He sat down on the chair in front of the sound board and started to spin in circles. “What is wrong with you?” I asked
“Everything” He said making me laugh “Hey at least I made you laugh”
“Yeah that’s true” I smiled
“Ready?” Mike asked. I nodded and heard alex singing the bridge of remembering Sunday. I took a deep breath and pulled down on my sleeves.
“I’m not coming back ive done something so terrible im terrified to speak but youd expect that from me im mixed up ill be blunt now the rain is just washing you out of my head and out of my mine keeping an eye on the world so many thousands of feet off the ground im over you now im at home in the clouds towering over your head” I sang. I knew I didn’t give it my all and so did alex. When I looked back towards the guys all I saw was Alex and Mike.
“You alright Ef?” I heard Alex ask
“Yeah I guess why?”
“You don’t sound like yourself” Mike said “Take a ten minute break”
“Okay”
“I’ll get Jack” Alex said
“Thank you” I sat down on the floor against the wall. A minute later Jack walked in and sat down next to me. I put my head on his shoulder and he held my hand tightly in his.
“Whats wrong babe?” He asked
“I wish I could just forget about everything that happened” I whispered. “I wish I never started cutting. I wish I never got pregnant. I wish I never met Chris. I just wish I never fucked up my life” By this time I finished talking I was crying. Jack wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him
“You didn’t fuck up your life okay?” He whispered “Chris was the one who deserves to go through hell not you”
“It’s not all his fault” He looked at me like I was crazy. I sighed and gave in “Fine either way my life is fucked up”
“You can change that”
“How?” He looked down and rolled up my sleeves
“This would have to stop” he said tracing a few of my scars
