My heart thunders as silence envelops us. My words fade into the air, and Elijah's gaze roams my face, quickly landing on my lips and then back up to my eyes. Hope dances in his eyes, and I can't help but smile.

"You... I... You... What?"
I take a deep breath and repeat myself. "I love you."
"I don't know, but I believe That some things are meant to be And that you'll make a better me Everyday I love you"
He trails his hand down my cheeks, slowly moving down my neck and across my body before settling on my hips. Goosebumps ignite in its wake, and my smile deepens as understanding dawns on his face.
He smiles softly as he looks up at me. "You have no idea how long I've waited for you to say that." He reaches up softly and brushes his lips against mine.
"Yeah?" I ask, unable to fight the grin on my face.

He kisses me again, wrapping his arms tightly around my waist and holding me close to him. His lips move with mine with such an intensity, I know that no matter how close I am to him right now, it will never be enough.
"I never thought that dreams came true But you showed me that they do You know that I learn something new Everyday I love you"
"I love you, too." He murmurs against my lips. He pulls away and tucks a stray piece of hair behind my ear. "You need to know that."
"I do know." I reply.
