Unexpected Love

Sometimes it's almost unbearable,
this constant ache in my chest.
You are all I have ever dreamed of,
all I have ever desired.
You are truly my soulmate, my missing piece.
For so long I have wondered if you really were out there,
searching the same as I for you.
Never in my wildest hopes did I believe I'd find you.
Never in my wildest dreams did I dare to hope.
It's overwhelming this feeling that lingers,
consuming every cell of my being.
Your smile alone can melt me,
brining me to my knees with joy.
I am simply mesmerized by your presence,
captivated by the gleam in your eyes,
spellbound by that smirk that puts wings on my heart.
I thought this feeling was a myth,
a silly dream that love sick fools tell themselves.
That one can fall in love over and over again with the same person.
Yet here I am falling in love every time you smile at me,
every time you chuckle at something silly I do,
every time you stare at me in wonder.
I didn't think it were possible to trust again.
Not to question every word and every intention.
But with you there is no questioning words.
There is no reading between the lines.
All I feel is sincerity.
All I feel is this uncontrollable adoration.
Some wait their whole lives to find what I have stumbled upon.
Some never find it at all.
You say you are the lucky one but really I am.
Never have I felt so safe.
Never have I felt so accepted.
Never have I felt the unconditional love that you have for me.
It is I that am lucky for having found my "prince"
The one who laughs at my corny jokes.
The one who will build a blanket fort with me.
The one who can tell what I'm thinking with just a glance.
The one who despite all my flaws sees only perfection.
You are my wish, my dream, the future I desire.
I can see us blissfully happy.
I can see us raising a family.
I can see us growing old.
You make dreaming possible again,
Empowering me and raising me higher than I ever thought possible.
It's this that I have dreamt of since I was small.
The one person in this lifetime that enchants my soul.
The one person who like me is a dreamer.
The one person who I can be truly be crazy with.
The one person that makes people say "Damn she's lucky!"
