Bliss

To dip my toes in this pool of bliss,

a choice I now have and must commence.

We could soar into the clouds of perfection.

Our own world no one could possibly fathom.

I yearn desperately to be caught,

by your strong arms only, no one else.

My mind is my downfall, trapping me eternally.

The thoughts my poison, causing unbearable pain.

A constant struggle against sweet words,

promises I long to be kept.

Would you catch me if I were to jump?

I would do the same for you.

Are you as captivated as I am too?

Could this fall be worth the risks involved?

I fear the inevitable tumbling decent into darkness.

Always ready to rear its ugly head,

pulling me back into the depths of discouragement.

If I so much as utter these words,

that maybe you are different than the rest.

I know things will change, something I don't wish.

Falling is the easy part, it's already begun.

It's time to see if you make good,

catch me when the time comes.
