Simple words, small words

Words that make no sense.

Deep words, reassuring words

Words that weigh in my chest.

I feel better after these are spoken.

Feel stronger when I once was broken.

I can feel your smile across the miles

Feel how it has begun to rile.

Soft words, sweet words

Words that brighten my soul

Caring words, longing words

Words that cancel the woe

I feel the hope coming back

The faith that I begun to lack

I feel the smile across my face

Coming from another place.

Pure words, loving words

Things I shouldn't doubt.

True words, your words

There should never have been a doubt.
