Looking me in the eye
And saying that you want me
Saying that you wish you were mine
Telling me that you want it
You and me together
Saying you want to take the risk
Then going back on your word
You had me at hello
Hook line and sinker
You made me feel alive
Not dead and cold and broken
My life is such a mess
An array of broken promises
Laid out on the floor
Stomped on till there’s nothing
My heart can’t take anymore
My soul is ready to break free
I want to run away
To find a better today…
