Chapter 24:I Won't Leave You

Somewhere unknown,
Far away from LOV,
Nighttime...

Midoriya's POV

"Wait, I said wait, Niisan!" I called him out in almost half-scream tone between pants. We had been running the whole way from League of Villains' hideout without stopping to catch our breath at all.

Niisan stopped his pace, turning his body to face me while his big hand gripping my smaller wrist. I then looked up to him in fidgety, nervousness shivered all around my body. "What is it, Icchan? We've to--"

"You're... My brother... Right...?" I cut him off mid-sentence, airing him this umpredictable question that suddenly came into my mind. Hiro-niisan startled by my question, staring at me long with guilt filling his black orbs.

Black pupils? If I recall properly, he has light blue pupils...

Niisan bit his bottom lips in worry, his lips trembled as if it was really hard for him to answer my question. "What will you do... If I say yes?" He asked me, his voice sounded slightly despressive when he uttered those words. Tears welled up my eyes when I heard that. I reflexively threw myself at him, embracing him tightly, not wanting to let him go because I was scared he would leave me again.

I-I can't believe it! He is alived all this time! He isn't dead!

Niisan looked surprised by my unexpected action but he gladly hugged me back. "I-I'm so happy... You're alive... Hiro-niisan..." I muttered happily between cries. "Icchan..." Was the only word he could say. "Me too... I'm glad we could meet again after 11 years..." He confessed sadly yet full of happiness as I tightened the embrace.

Several minutes passed and we finally broke apart, gazing into each others' eyes deeply. My body suddenly started  to feel weak, causing me to swing left and right slightly in slow motion. "I-Icchan?!" Niisan began to panic when he saw my sickly condition.

"Icchan, cancel your Quirk now! We're already far from them so it's okay to deactivate your Quirk." Niisan said in panic holding my fragile body in his strong arms. "I-I don't know-- *cough* how..." I barely managed to say those words as I was too weak to answer. Niisan bit his bottom lips, anxiety filling his pitch black iris.

"J-Just say the word 'cancel'... M-Maybe you'll deactivate your Quirk on them..." Hiro-niisan suggested, trying to help me to overcome my poor condition. He seemed knowledgeable about this Quirk so I only nodded to him slightly.

I slowly shut my eyes tight, focusing my mind to my Quirk. I could feel a foreign aura within my body. I opened my eyes half-lid and tried to manage a word. "C-Cancel... The Quirk..." I said, painful expression plastered on my freckled cheeks.

Suddenly, my body felt light again as if the burden was finally weight off of me. I quickly asked Niisan to release me from his arms and he obediently did. "W-Wow... I feel alived again..." I said, feeling grateful that I finally felt good again.

"Yeah... Maybe because you finally cancel the Bind Words effect..." Niisan mumbled but I still could hear him thanks to my sharp sense since I loved to mumble too. "Bind Words?" I questioned him, tilting me head in confusing like an innocent child.

"L-Look, Icchan. I don't really know about Dad's Quirk that your inherited from him but he told me before about it..." Hiro-niisan looked at me in worry. A heavy sigh escpaed his mouth, his eyes locked on me still. "Listen, Icchan. That Quirk, Bind Words... Allow you to control only living things on your will using some phrases or words... But it only activates when you are in emotional state. And..." Anxiety suddenly clouded his mature feature when he paused there.

"And...?"

"A-And... There is this mode calls 'Curse Mode' in your Quirk.... It's the powerful level of  Bind Words..." He uttered nervously. Somehow, his words peaked my interests. "Icchan, no matter how difficult the situation you're in, don't ever use this Quirk." Niisan stressed out the last few words in such husky voice, sending shivers down to my spines. He clenched his fists firmly. It was like he was furious at something.
