Chapter 15:He Knew

Midoriya's POV

I kept holding Kacchan's hand since it felt so comfortable and warm. Kacchan tightened the hold. "Your hand feel so warm, Kacchan..." I smiled at him. Kacchan blushed madly. "S-Shut up." He stuttered.

"Eraser? It's you, isn't it, Eraser?!" A woman suddenly approached Aizawa-sensei. "Joke..." Aizawa-sensei sighed. The two adults conversed with each other. My eyes went wide when I saw the woman.

"She is..." I gasped in amazement and quickly let Kacchan's hand go. "...Smile Hero:Joke!" I yelled in excitement.

"Her Quirk is Outburst! She forces those near her to laugh,dulling their thinking and movement! Her fights against villains are full of craziness!" I started to fangirl over her. She was one of my favourite hero!

My eyes shone in excitement. I heard Kacchan growled so I turned to look at him. Kacchan was frowning his eyebrows in irritation.

Ops. It might be because I let his hand go without telling him.

"Joke, if you're here, then that's mean..." Aizawa-sensei paused there. "Oh yeah, I forgot! Everyone, come over here!" Joke called out.

A group of students walked towards our direction. "Ketsusbutsu Academy, second years, class two. They're my class. Please be kind." She introduced them.

The boy with black curly hair suddenly held my hands,startling me and everyone in my class. Kacchan and I were the most surprised among everyone. "I'm Shindo! UA this year's had trouble after trouble, so it must've been tough!" He tightened his grips. "Huh? Y-Yes..." I replied to him in awkwardness.

Chills suddenly was sent down to my spines. A strong hand suddenly yanked my collar, pulling me away from Shindo-san. I saw Kacchan with his usual angry face but he looked extra pissed off!

My classmates gasped in surprise. "K-Kacchan." I said his name. Kacchan's face was clouded in extreme anger and annoyance.

Oh my. Don't tell me...

"Lay a finger on her again and you'll see no tomorrow." Kacchan threatened him. "Ops, my bad." Shindo-san scratched his head.

"Hey! Stop being so rude!" Kirishima-kun scolded Kacchan. "Sorry for his rudeness." Kirishima-kun apologized in Kacchan's place.

"Oi, change into your costume and go to the orientation! Don't waste time!" Aizawa-sensei ordered while walking towards the arena.

"Yes, sir!" We all yelled in unison.

In the National Dagoba Arena...

As soon as the briefings ended, we all got ready for the first test. I attached the three targets on my body.

"Everyone, don't get too seperated! Let's move as a group!" I yelled at them in serious tone. "Okay!" Ochako-chan retorted in agreement. "Yeah!" Iida-kun nodded too.

"Yeah right, this isn't a field trip." Kacchan growled while walking away from us. "Idiot, wait!" Kirishima-kun chased after him.

"Wai– Kacchan!" I called him out but he totally ignored me. I suddenly remember his words last night.

"Tomorrow, I will crush you."

I clenched my fist in realization. Now I understood his words.

Right now, I couldn't act as his girlfriend but as a rival...because we both were aiming for the same thing.

"I'm going to go on my own too. It's hard for me to use my power in a big group." Todoroki-kun sprinted from the scene. "Todoroki-kun!" I called him out. I sighed in defeat. "Midoriya, let's go! There's no time left!" Mineta-kun reminded me and I nodded at him.
