After our little strange encounter, I couldn't help but think of how things could go wrong. I mean why would he all of a sudden come up to me and tell me that he likes me?
"Jason, no one must know about us. Let's just give it a try. Maybe let's go on a secretive date or something," I said as I tried not to look at him. I was scared of disappointing Elle and Zach. Zach has always been against me even talking to Jason and he would probably throw a fit if he finds out that I agreed to go out with Jason.
Oh man what am I doing? "If that's what you want then that's fine by me," he said as he pulled my chin to make me face him. "Oh well then I'll plan a little date and I'll probably text you. Just give me your phone number," I said and he just looked at me with a shocked expression.
"You don't have my phone number," he asked looking shocked. "Uh why would I have your number anyways," I asked him but he just shrugged. What a confusing guy!
"Okay I'll text you. Well I'm gonna go now," I said as I slid off the rock. "Oh wait I'm going home too. Let's just go together," he said and I didn't know what to say so I just agreed.
As we walked to our house, I couldn't help but just get random thought about how crazy this situation is. What are the odds that the guy you have been crushing on since forever come up to you and say he likes you. Oh man have I made a mistake by agreeing to see where things go?
"Hey I have been calling you for the past 5 minutes. What are you thinking about," he asked as we got close to our houses. "Oh nothing. Anyways just promise me that you are gonna keep this a secret," I said as I pointed simultaneously towards the both of us.
"Even though I don't know what's really between the two of us," I said as I shook my head. I just heard him chuckle. Well great, he finds it amusing. "Oh no one is gonna know," he said as he made as if he was zipping his lips and threw the keys away. I couldn't help but laugh at his action. "Okay then see you later Donovan," I said as I walked away.
"Honey will you please get the phone," mom yelled out from her office. "Hello," I said as I picked up. "Hey princess I forgot an important file at home can you just bring it to me," Devon said as soon as I responded. "Okay Devon, where is it exactly," I asked and he gave me the instructions to where the file was.
"Okay fine I'll see you in a bit," I said and we both hung up. After telling mom that I'm going out, I grabbed my backpack in which I stuffed the file along with my laptop. Devon's bakery is a great spot to hang out and I must say it is a pretty fancy bakery. Most of the kids at school love to hang out there after school as my brother's pastries are the absolute best and I'm learning how to make some of those goodies little by little. After about 20 minutes of walking, I finally reached the bakery.

Walking inside, I took in the delicious scent in the air. Seriously the best scent ever. Devon is always cover with that scent and it is divine. "Good morning everyone," I said as I entered. Everyone greeted me back.
All the people who work for my brother are really nice people. We consider them as family. "Oh Celeste dear it's been a long time since you came to see us," Rosa, a really nice lady who taught Devon all the secrets of baking. "Rosa I've missed you. It's just that school has been kind of hectic so I was trying my best to focus," I said as I hugged her.
"Where is Devon," I asked as I started looking for him. "He is in the kitchen honey," she said as she pointed towards the kitchen door. Walking to the kitchen, I saw Devon frosting a delicious looking cake. It makes me feel so good when I see my brothers doing what they have always dreamed of. It makes me feel like a proud sister.
"Hi big bro," I said as I walked up to him. "Hey Celeste did you bring the file," he asked as he didn't even turn to look at me as he was in all concentrated mode.
"Oh shit," I said abruptly and I gasped. "What," Devon said as he looked at me with panic written all over his face. "Of course I brought it Devon," I said as I pointed towards my backpack. "Oh God you almost gave me a heart attack Celeste," he said as he wiped his forehead. "I need the papers like right now so bring it to my office I'll be right there," he said as he went to wash his hands.
"So what is it all about," I asked as he got to his office. "I am getting a new plot of land so need to just look at the plots and the quotations like now because they get sold like quickly," he said as he looked through the file.
"What are you gonna do with it," I asked him as I looked at the pictures too. "Well Celeste I'm thinking of opening restaurant," he said and I looked at him dumbfounded. "Oh my God big bro well that's amazing. I'm a proud sister now," I said as I fake cried.
He just looked at me and laughed. "Ohhhh you should get like a plot with a lake or something," I said as I started imagining how it could be. "Celeste I know how much you love lakes but I don't think that would be appropriate. I want it to be like a really chic you can say or maybe classy place," he said. "Oh yea then it won't be appropriate," I said as I frowned.
"Oh yeah I meant to ask you why was Jason following you when you went out this morning," he asked making me suddenly look at him. "Oh I don't know. It must have been a coincidence that he was going the same way as me. I'm sure he wasn't following me. Anyways when did you see that," I asked him as I felt a little tense.
"Right maybe you're right. I was coming to work when you were leaving so I saw him," he said and he shrugged. Thank God he bought what I said. I know my brothers. They both are crazy protective brothers.
It is partially the reason why guys won't talk to me and I guess that Jason is also a reason. Well I guess they don't want my heart to get broken by some douchebag. I mean I don't want that either but well it can be annoying that your brothers scare away all guys.
"Hey what happened? You completely zoned out. Did something happen? Are you not telling me something," he asked as he shook my shoulders. "Oh my god Devon calm down nothing happened. Stop freaking out like that," I said and ended up laughing.
"You scared me Celeste. I can't let anything happen to you and no one can harm my babysister," he said and I hugged him. "I know you guys have my back. You don't have to worry Devon, I'm grown up now and I know what is good and bad," I said as he looked at me with soft eyes.
"I know but still you will always be our babysister and we will protect you whether you like it or not," he said and I just shook my head. "You are impossible Devon," I said as I hugged my brother.
Man it feels so good to have such caring people in your life. My brothers have always supported me and having them by my side is all I could ever ask for but not telling him the whole truth makes me feel horribly guilty. I mean I don't even know if this is going to work between me and Jason. So all we have to do is to wait and watch.
