Taking the Long way Home (5 Seconds of Summer)

Chapter 4

Ash Point of View

Later that night I went home with mum and Luke and they ran me through what was going to happen and how I was going to work around my exam next year. Once getting home and having dinner, I went up to my room and went to have a shower to. Once I finished having the shower I changed into some PJ's and made my way to my bed and a while later I was out.

Next Morning

I woke up and I got dressed into my school uniform, I brushed my hair and put it up in a high messy pony tail, once I finished that I made my way down to the kitchen and got myself some breakfast. Dad has gone off to the UK for works so he is not around. But where is Luke and mum

 “Luke you have got to get up or you will be running late” I heard mum said to Luke

 God why does that boy sleep more than I do

 “Lucas get your butt out of bed right now” she yelled again

 I filled up a glass of cold water and walked towards Luke’s room and poured it right over the top off him making him get up in seconds, and me out of the room in seconds. I ran down the stairs into the kitchen and grabbed my bag and phone and sprinted out of the house before he could chase after me. Once I was sure he was not behind me I stopped running and just walked the rest of the way.

 Once I made it to the front gates I looked around to see if Ali or Chelsea were hanging around, but they weren’t there I walked down the hall and everyone was looking at me. As I made it to my locker I saw Chelsea and she was talking to the popular girls but these were the nice once not the stuck up bitches thinking they own the school.

 “Guess what Ashleigh Hemmings is going on tour with 5SOS and 1D next year” Chelsea said

 How did she know I haven’t told anyone that I was going?

 “She is so lucky to have Luke Hemmings as a brother and be friends with the rest of the boys she is the luckiest girl alive” one girl said

 “I think she is only going so she can hook up with every guy on the planet” Chelsea said

 Did she just really say that?

 “I knew it would work, we would become best friends Ali would tell me this story and of course Ash she would invite me to hang out with her and 1D when they are in Australia” she said sounding proud

 “I knew you were using me from day one, I remember it like it was yesterday you had no idea who 5SOS were and until I told you they were famous and going on tour, you suddenly started to suck up. I knew from day one that you were only friends with to get to the boys it’s just that Ali could see it. I trusted you actually we both did she said she would never tell anyone that story to anyone. Why am I friends with you” I said to her

 “Ash I am sorry” she said trying to cover it up

 “You have no right to call me Ash only close friends call me Ash from now on you call me AshLEIGH not Ash understand” I said

 I was centimetres away from her face until someone pulled me away

 “What is going on?” someone asked  

 I looked up and it was the principal

 “She was using me” was all I could say
