You hadn't seen Brock in weeks. 

Between his road trips and your unbelievably heavy course load at school, you hadn't been able to swing by his apartment when he was home and he couldn't make the journey to your dorm room. There was no time to do anything with each other and it was putting a strain on your relationship. 

You missed him so much it hurt. You called and texted him as much as you could but it wasn't the same as being together in person. Brock must've been feeling the same way because your phone sounded as you tried to work on your latest assignment.

I miss you so much and I can't wait to come see you

We only have a week until I get to hold you

But for now, go check your car

You rolled your eyes at your boyfriend's antics. He was always spontaneous and you had no idea what to expect when you got to your car. Knowing Brock, it was worth it. Throwing on a random pair of slides, you quickly glanced at your disheveled appearance. You were wearing an old pair of sweatpants and your hair sat in a messy pile on the top of your head, looking like it hadn't been brushed in days. You grabbed your car keys and your key card just in case before heading down to your dorm's parking lot. Your car was parked near the front and a you could clearly see an envelope tucked under one of your wipers. It was bright blue and seemed larger than a regular envelope. When you pulled the envelope from under the wiper, it was easy to see Brock's distinct handwriting.

To my love.., the front read. Excited, you ripped the envelope open and pulled out what looked like a letter.

The letter read, 

(Y/N), 

I want to start by saying I love you. You are the most amazing woman I've ever met and I am so lucky to have you in my life. I know we don't always get to see each other as much as we'd like but that's okay. I have my career and you're killing it at school. We have plenty of time to wake up next to each other every day and I am so excited for that to happen. 

I know you're likely very stressed out right now with school and I want you to relax. Get in your car and drive to your favourite spa. You know the one I'm talking about. When you get there, talk to the woman at the front desk and she'll give you another letter. After your appointment. I know you won't want to go because you feel like you have too much to do but let me treat you even though I'm too far away to bring you myself. 

I know you're determined to do well in your courses. Your determination is one of the things I love about you. One of the many things I admire about you. Have a good time at the spa baby.
