Cat 😺-John X Reader

Upon entering Scotland Yard, John heard a soft meow. He furrowed his brows and took a step back. Lo and behold, there was a box of kittens. John smiled slightly, thinking of what your reaction would be if you came home to a kitten.

He took a kitten with orange fur and a white stomach with black stripes. It's green-eyed gaze captivated him. John immediately knew that this cat was the one he was going to get you.

John smiled at the furry feline in his coat that was tickling him. "Stop squirming, cat. (Y/N) will find out that I have you sooner if you keep squirming," John said. The kitten stopped squirming and became still. John sighed in relief.

He opened the door to his house, seeing that you weren't home yet. John took the kitten out of his coat and put it in his bedroom. He set up a litter box in the washroom, and a feeder and water bowl in the kitchen.

By the time he'd filled up the feeder, you were walking through the front door. Seeing a feeder in the kitchen, you raised an eyebrow at your husband. He held something behind his back.

You furrowed your brows. "John, what's behind your back?" you asked. John pulled a crumpled cat feed bag into your view. You raised an eyebrow. "Is there a cat or is this for you?" you asked. John smiled. "There's a cat," he said.

"Where is it?" you asked. He left the kitchen, then came back with an orange and black fur ball- no, cat- in his arms. Your eyes lit up. "Is this it?" you asked excitedly. "Yes. I haven't named it yet. I figured you could do the honours," John said.

You took the kitten from his arms and held it up. "Tiger," you said. John raised an eyebrow. "Tiger?" he asked. "Yeah, Tiger," you replied. You rubbed the kitten's head and scratched under its chin. The kitten emitted a purr, and leaned its head into your touch.

"Thank you, John," you said. John smiled. "You're welcome, love," he replied. You smiled at the newest addition to your family. Tiger Watson.

Sorry this is so short, I just haven't updated this book in forever it seems, and I needed something to update this book with. So, this is basically just a filler. Sorry again. 😔
