"Oh you look so handsome puddin!" Harleen exclaimed as she watched Jack fix his collar.

It had been a few weeks since Jack was officially a free man. He had legally won his case against the city of Gotham and even had a stamped certificate from Arkham approving his sane status.

He was now in a suit standing in front of a mirror, looking at a completely different man.

He was rested and peaceful, but he could feel the clown lingering in his psyche, he could feel the ominous presence of the sadistic psychopath who had nearly ended his life 100 times over

He was rested and peaceful, but he could feel the clown lingering in his psyche, he could feel the ominous presence of the sadistic psychopath who had nearly ended his life 100 times over. As he stared back into the mirror deep in thought, Harleen placed a hand on his back, pulling him out of his thoughts. He looked down at her and cupped her cheeks, pulling her in for a chaste kiss.

Breaking the kiss, he smiled and began to gently tug her out of the room with him.

"We're going to be late, Jonathan has the car running." He said as he led her to the car waiting for them outside. He held the door open for Harleen and helped her get in. Once he closed her door, he walked swiftly to his side and entered.

"Are you sure about this puddin?" Harleen asked as he began to drive.
"We can turn back right now and try the next event." Harleen assured him.
But she knew he had his mind set.

"The Thomas and Martha Wayne Memorial ball is the perfect set up to introduce myself personally to the Gotham elite. Everyone will be watching and I will at least have a platform for an exclusive crowd." Jack explained.

"Are you sure doing this during a memorial ball is not in poor taste?" Harleen asked.

"It isn't as long as I play my cards right," Jack looked down at his hands, which Harleen now gripped.

"Your cards huh? You got a wild card in there puddin?" Harleen teased as she leaned over towards him, giving him an eyeful of her breasts. He looked longingly at her as he drove.
