Previously on 10 years...
At that moment Lucy ran up to me and kissed me on the cheek.
"Natsu, why do you always put others before yourself" she muttered.
*The next day*
(Natsu POV)
I put on my new basketball shoes and run out the door.
Lucy and I haven't talked since she kissed me on the cheek in the library.
It's time for basketball tryouts so I have to get distractions out of my head.
I head into the gym to see a bunch of other guys dribbling around, I quickly joined and shot some hoops before coach blew the whistle.
"ALRIGHT SCRUBS LISTEN UP" The coach yelled
"THERE WILL BE NO MERCY IN THESE TRYOUTS TODAY! IF YOU MESS UP THEN YOU'RE OFF THE TEAM! AM I UNDERSTOOD?"
"Yessir" We all say in unison.
"Alright! Time for the drills!"
I'm the star of the show.
Every shot, every pass, is perfect.
"Alright scrubs break time!!!"
I head over to the bleachers, and swig some water.
I see Lisanna walking over.
I mutter to myself "Kill me"
"Hey cutie, what are you doing over here all alone?" She purrs.
"I'm kinda busy right now Lisanna, you can flirt with me another time." I reply
"Awww, come on I'm lonely" She purrs.
The coach blows the whistle
"Alright scrubs break over!!!"
I run back onto the court, thankful for that whistle.
We drill for another 30 minutes.
Not to brag but I'm really good. I haven't missed a shot.
*1 day skip*
I run to the sports board. I made the team!
"Sweet!" I say.
At the top of the list is a name, it looks like the name of a girl. The only girl. Her name is Kagura, Kagura Mikazuchi.
I return to my dorm and out of curiosity look up her name on Wikipedia.
What comes up blows my mind.
High school baseball/softball All Star
Track 1 player
Volleyball player
Soccer player
High school Basketball team captain
Whoa. And she's a girl. I can beat her. Right?
(Gray POV)
"Hey Natsu" I greet as I walk into our dorm.
"Gray" he says. " come here"
"What is it?" I ask.
I look at the computer screen and in shock I ask. "Is she on your basketball team?"
"Yup." Replies Natsu. "She's the only girl on the team."
*day skip*
(Natsu POV)
I changed into my new basketball uniform. It's red with the number 2.
I walk onto the court and meet my teammates. Suddenly a girl with long, thick black hair and hazel eyes walks in. Her uniform reads number 1. No doubt it's Kagura.
"ALL RIGHT SCRUBS LISTEN UP" says the coach. "YOU'RE ALL GOOD. BUT I EXPECT A LOT FROM ALL OF YA! Let's do some scrimmage now!"
After scrimmage a boy on the team walks up to Kagura with some other guys on the team and they play 1 on 5, Kagura against 5 other skilled players. I watch as she crushes them by 15 points!
Coach blows his whistle. "ALL RIGHT SCRUBS! PRACTICE IS OVER. SO LEAVE!".
The guys and I head to the boys locker room and Kagura heads to the girls locker room. As I'm getting dressed I hear singing from the other side of the wall. I press my ear to the wall. There's a girl singing. It's Kagura. She's the only person in there.
