Chapter Ten: Her Last Wish

Y/n arrived and rushed to Somin's room with the help of the nurses wandering around since she was new to this hospital. "Oh! Jungkook! I'm here." Jungkook engulfs Y/n into a hug upon seeing her. "Ok, now you're here, let's go in." Jungkook escorted Y/n to the room, closing the door behind him, and sat on the chair beside Somin, "H-hi Somin... How are you?" Y/n asked as she sat in front of Somin, "Surprisingly, I am doing fine; I hope you aren't busy to come here.." "Ah noo... In times like this, I will always be will to take my time off to be able to see you." Jungkook smiled as he looked at Y/n then back to Somin.

"Jungkook-ah..can you go out of the room for a sec?" Somin asks as she touches Jungkook's hand. Jungkook was confused. What was the topic going to be about that he had to leave? Without any questions, he smiled and muttered, "Ok," before kissing Somin's cheeks and went outside of the room.

"Take a seat." Somin patted the chair that was beside the bed, gesturing for Y/n to sit on it. Y/n sat nervously, alien to the atmosphere. "So, what is it that you're going to tell me, Somin?" Y/n looked at her with a questioning face. Somin let out a solemn sigh and took her time to come up with words to explain to Y/n. Y/n gently held Somin's hand, "It's okay, you can tell me anything..." The girls smiled at each other, knowing they had each other's side, but Somin couldn't help but tear up at sight, "Y-Y/n, Can you do me a favor?"

"Sure... Anything" Y/n encouraged Somin, still not getting the atmosphere. "Can you please take care of Jungkook for me if I die?" Somin finally said what she wanted to say. That one sentence made Y/n's world drop. She was shocked. She looked at Somin with a shocked face. She couldn't believe that the girl Jungkook loved the most would leave him in her hands. Y/n was hesitant whether to accept her favor or not, "I... Somin... Why...? You're not leaving us, are you? Please..." Y/n couldn't help but tear up. Even though the girl in front of her had caused her non-ending jealousy and anger for tearing up her's and Jungkook's relationship but she couldn't lie that the girl was the most precious and sweetest person she had ever met. She had a special bond with Somin that she never had before, although they rarely talked to each other.

Y/n couldn't believe that a girl, who wasn't even that close to her, was leaving the love of her life in her arms, "Somin! Why? I know you can fight. Please... Don't leave us, especially Jungkook. Who knows what he will do!" Y/n yelled in pain as she gripped Somin's hand tighter. Y/n cried and fell on her knees, "Somin, please..."

"Y/n-ah... I am really sorry. I know we don't know each other much, but I can't help it. You and Jungkook looked too good together. I've seen the way Jungkook looks at you when you're not looking. The way he looks for you when you're not around. The way he brings up your name when we talk of certain topics. I've seen how he looked at you when you walked down the aisle. Yes, I was there at your wedding, but I hid. I didn't want him to know that I was there and become a distraction. When I saw his face looking at you walking down the aisle, that's when I knew that deep down; he caught feelings for you... But I am not mad at either of you. I know people's feelings change, and I accept that. And maybe that's why I decided to spend more time with him because I was afraid that I might lose myself one day without spending my last hours with him. Y/n... I'm not going to live any longer. They're using a machine to keep me here a little longer, but it will be over after this. I can't hold it any longer, so, please... Y/N, please do it," she begged as Y/n cried harder...
